Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?
This game was completely different from what I imagined. At first I thought it was a "Teen Wolf" type of story. Just a man who somehow becomes a werewolf and the chaos that ensues. Rather, it is a dark, grotesque murder thriller with the cast being characters of fairy tales and nursery rhymes we all know and love. There exists a community within New York City known as Fabletown, in which these fairy tale characters have taken refuge since their homelands have been taken over by a tyrant. You play as Sheriff Bigby, a.k.a The Big Bad Wolf. Your sidekick is Snow White, the Deputy Mayor assistant. There has been a series of murders of prostitutes, and your job is to find out who did it. That is the most I could say without giving away much of a fantastic plot, which I'll talk about a little later. For those who have played the Walking Dead series, the gameplay is pretty much the same. Most of what you do revolves around choosing what or what not to say when prompted. Since it's sort of like a detective game, there is a lot of point-and-click involved to search for clues and navigate around places. There are also numerous action sequences and fights that test you on your reaction timing and accuracy. One thing I must say that this game also beats into your head is that almost every thing you do or say affects the future. Sheriff Bigby is a man feared by all of Fabletown, and in the game you could choose to either give them a reason to continue being afraid of you, or trying to change things for the better. The murder investigation is full of twists and turns, but what really made me love this game is the character development, and the in-depth look into how dysfunctional and corrupt this Fabletown really is. And pretty much every character struggles with either financial and mental instability, and although they are all fairy tales, it really makes you draw parallels to how the real world actually is and the justifications people might have for being the way that they are. So that, and this crazy cliffhanger the game leaves you with are enough to consider getting the game.If you are a fan of the Walking Dead game series, or just interactive story-telling games in general, I highly suggest getting this game. The story doesn't take that long to beat, but since the plot is tailored by your actions, there is a high replay value. There also exists a "Book of Fables" extra, in which you unlock entries about characters, places, or events concerning Fabletown. The entries are unlocked based on which actions you take.I'd definitely buy the sequel to this game if it ever comes about. Great game.

Great story, great game
Short version - I thought the game was great and would highly recommend getting it.If you're in a between state trying to decide what to play next, pick this up.If you're a fan of past Telltale Games, like the Walking Dead, this will be right up your alley.- I liked the storyline (a bit gory, but is why it's rated M), the characters were entertaining, the situations you went through varied - I thought they kept it interesting - the mix between investigating and action was balanced pretty well.To run through all the episodes, it took me a little over 7 hours of gameplay. Also after finishing it, I can't help but feed like I want to find what happens next to these characters & would totally be in for a Wolf Amoung us Season 2 game :) I hadn't known about the Fables stories this game was based off of before, so am going to settle for checking out those now in the meantime...

A great adventure game - for adults!
I wasn't familiar with the source material (shame on me) before playing the game, but still thought it was excellent. The gameplay style is a mix of decision making, exploring, and a few QTEs (quick time events, requiring you you hit the desired input in a certain amount of time). I would almost classify it as an interactive story as opposed to a game, and that's not a bad thing at all. As the game progresses, you make a number of decisions the change the story, as it goes along. Some might be as simple as choosing a certain phrase in a conversation (do you accuse someone, or show sympathy?), while others might drastically change the story (if you have two locations to travel to, choosing one might mean evidence at the second location is scrubbed clean, by the time you finally arrive). The game definitely is for adults (and is rated "Mature/17+"). Beheadings, prostitution, profanity, and tobacco use all occur, sometimes frequently. As an adult, I didn't have a problem with these things furthering the story (they're all handled in a mature, serious tone) but I wouldn't let anyone under 15 or so play it.All in all, I had a blast, and hope they do another "season" for it.

Incredible, Beautifully Done Game!
I did not expect to like this game. Point and clicks always seemed so boring, but this was spectacular! The drawing style and voice acting is so well done and the story was so compelling, that it didn't matter how short or how not "game-like" it was. I also never re-play a game right after finishing it, but for this, I had to--I just had to know what would happen if I made different decisions. I found myself going back to every chapter and redoing every possibility. From this game, I discovered the comic books and have started reading those (though I much prefer the drawing style of the game vs the comics). This story is what Grimm and Once Upon a Time should have been. I really hope they make more of these games and if they made this a TV series, I would definitely watch.
