Okay, but too expensive.
A bit warped in some places, overall functional but 35 usd is far too much for the product.

Great box! High price. Fun activity!!!
I am a little bit indifferent about this product. I love the idea, the design, and the quality, but I am not a big fan of the high price it is listed as. I would have loved to order a second set to match with the first one, however, I just can’t put myself to buying it for that price. To start, the product came EXACTLY how it is described on the site, so read the details carefully before purchasing. This item is a “build-it-yourself” project, which turned out to be extremely fun... especially without giving any directions on how to build it, or how many parts you received/ should have. So I went a little extra with the photos and tried to label as best I could to explain how to assemble the wooden double-tier drawer box. Again, it wasn’t hard to figure out how to build the set, but I can see where some might get frustrated. The pieces are made of thin wood, already shaped and sized for assembly. The connectors are a small rubber band used at the end of pegs to hold the wood pieces together and in place. They are very stretchy, so if you over-stretch you might send one flying across the room. The rubber bands have held up well and I have had no issues. Although it may look flimsy, it is pretty strong!! The divider inserts that go inside the drawers can be assembled to your preferences. I ended up leaving out some of the dividers so I could fit more products in the style I want.I have yet to paint mine but look forward to doing so in the future. I actually like the wood accent to match my desk, but may change my mind later. The great thing about this item is how easy you can disassemble it for transporting purposes, and assemble it back together.Overall, I am very satisfied with the product. It is a very cute addition that provides a neat look and next-level organization. I used this as a means to organize my nail polish and nail polish accessories. The structure is sturdy enough to hold everything without showing any stress on the wood.I hope this review has been of help to you. If so, please hit that "helpful" button below! Much appreciated and cheers!

poor quality, not sturdy
I hardly know where to start, but my rating is based on comparisons to what else is available on this site, and I would say for the price, this is significantly substandard... unless half the fun is assembly, then go for it.This box arrives as a pile of thin plywood, with what appears to be pine veneer. It is assembled with tab which are secured with small rubber bands. (My daughter said they look like the type used in braces). I lost 2 while assembling it. One flew across the room and was lost forever.... fortunately there were exactly 2 extra rubber bands included. (The first picture is a close up of the tabs secured by rubber bands). No instructions were included so it took a good deal longer than it ought to have. I had to take large sections apart twice to get it lined up right, or the tabs inserted at all. {tip: do not leave the back for last, if indeed you can figure out which piece is the back.) Yes, it is easy to assemble but directions would have helped, if only to identify which direction things need to go and which piece are which. The little sepertators are easy enough. All that said, it is a good deal like assembling those little balsa wood planes, except that in the end you do not get to fly it. so, yeah, it lost a star for not bothering with instructions. In the pictures you will see a second box, the one on the bottom. That box is solid Beech wood, nicely finished, almost twice the size, and half the cost. In fact, Amazon pulled it up for comparison and I bought a second one, this time their 6 drawer chest, which also cost less than this. In fact, Amazon showed an array of wood boxes listed for artist supplies. Some have built in easels. They all come assembled. They are all solid wood. They are all finished with acrylic, or wood stain or wax, and they all cost less, most of them half the price. If it is not as good as the others and costs significantly more, I can not honestly award even 3 stars. 3 stars is average. This is subpar both in materials and construction. Frankly I would award it more stars as a project for kids to learn about assembling things, like those balsa planes. Since it is larger and more complicated and also might be useful (and I say might because it is not sturdy, can not bear a lot of weight, and is held together with rubber bands which disintegrate in heat and sunlight). I have piles of disintegrated rubber bands in my studio, where I spent a small fortune this year on sets of drawers, so I did not have to keep my rods of glass tied together with rubber bands, which would disintegrate.OK, I am somewhat irritated as I write this review. Not only were there no instructions, but the pieces were not even sanded. I got 2 splinters while assembling it, and at my professional rate, this would have been a $500 box. But, I am not a professional furniture designer or builder. This was clearly not professional work ;)I ordered this thinking it would be useful in my studio. I never have enough storage, but... it is so thin, and so shaky that, no I would not put paint in or on this box. I work with glass. It could not handle the weight of glass. My plan had been to use it with jars of frits and powders, enamels, etc. In a word, Nope.It did, however, inspire me to order a second, larger Beechwood unit, and that will work very well indeed. In fact, I might even have room to spare... for a little while ;) What can I say? I can not resist a new color. In sum:Precut pieces not sanded, or in any way finished. No instructions, pieces not identified.Thin plywood with what appears to be a pine veneer.Held together with rubber bands and not very sturdy, not good for weight bearingNot just more expensive, but twice as expensive as a comparable solid wood unit, which is made of nice quality wood and well finished.More expensive than practically any artist box sold on Amazon!BUT, can be a good learning experience for a child, maybe an entertaining family activity for a rainy day. {If you are going to be assembling it with kids, or even yourself, consider sanding the pieces first.)

An Organizer Puzzle
This is an IQ test disguised as an organizer. I got a stack of wood pieces in assorted shapes and sizes and had to use my mere wits to put them together. There were no instructions. However, I cheated a little and went to the reviews to see if anyone else mentioned instructions. There I saw a couple of photos and figured out the puzzle within a few minutes. The rubber bands prevent the pieces from slipping through. Now, I believe that the type of paint that the company had in mind for this organizer is something like model airplane paint. In other words, something small. I was planning to use it for the 2 ounce bottles of craft paint, but you will not be able to insert the drawers if that's what you plan to use it for. However, I was going to use the shelves separately in a cubby. I can put papers or something in there. Then I have three trays for my paint and two shelves. If you're an artist or crafter, you need any kind of storage you can get. It's not the most attractive organizer, but it is useful for managing multiple bottles of paint. The larger squares inside the drawers are big enough to squeeze the larger 8 ounce bottles into. Obviously, the spaces in the drawers couldn't be the same size at the top since the drawer size is smaller, so the drawers don't hold as many bottles, but they have larger spaces. I do think that it's overpriced for what you get. It's very thin wood that is little more than chipboard, and you have to put it together. It's not that big. I wouldn't expect to pay over $12 for something like this, and for that reason, I give it two stars.
