Men's G-1 Buaer 55j14 US Naval Military Spec Leather Flight Bomber Jacket

This is a fall and spring time jacket. The leather is not very thick. But for the price of the jacket this is very reasonable. This jacket has a nice fit to it and very soft right out of the box. I normally wear a size 46, but a large fit me very comfortable (Tag listed as a size 44). The quality of the jacket is good, you won't be upset with your purchase in this price range. This is a great copy of the original. The jacket has a talon zipper that may stick in the beginning, but will loosen up over time. The sleeves are not baggy on this jacket at all, very roomy and close fit. Comfortable fit in the shoulder area, this jacket hugs the shoulder very nice. The only area I found to be roomy was the belly area. So, depending on how you were the jacket either zipped or unzipped may determine a preference on sizing. The fur collar is very soft. The back gussets are very roomy so moving your arms around will not feel restrictive. The length extends just over the belt are, and is not too short. Overall, this jacket is a great bang for your buck. If your looking for for a jacket that you can do rough work in , this is not your jacket.

It fits great, I sent them my height, weight, & chest size. And they got back to me for the right size fit. I ordered the size they suggested which fit perfectly. But the arms a a little long though. But everybody’s arms are different sizes. It is amazing flight jacket. Well worth the money. As for how long the jacket last is something I will have to find out. I just got it. I’m 5’ 10”, 240lbs, with a 43 - 44 inch chest. And the told me to order a XXL tall. I did and it fits perfectly. Thank you for your help guys. You really do take good care of your customers. I will order for you again.

I'm updating this review. They really need to up their game or stick to custom. Having returned this jacket under the 'free returns' I was shocked to see a $38 'restocking fee'. Where in the hayzeus is there a restocking fee mentioned...? This is the reply I got in reference to the mismatched wool: 'The cuffs actually are not a defect but an exclusive feature which is expensive than normal cuffs. where Hem rib comes normal but cuff ribs comes with two levels of stretch. It is made with as original technique as WW2 orignal navy seals and vintage stuff is always expensive. So dont worry as that is not a defect but a feature which every vintage lover wants to have as per original historic details in jacket'. Give me a break. I've had a custom B3 made by this company and it was very good-not great. I'd do it again now knowing what to expect and adjusting accordingly. With that said, this jacket is 'meh'. The picture shows mismatched 'rib rack' cuffs paired with plain waist banding and mismatched colors to boot. As for fit it's good except that it's too short in the front and it is annoying to always be hitting my belt line. Also the waist is sewn too loosely and leaves it gaping open allowing air to waft up into the body. The goatskin itself is quite nice although it is their lighter weight and thus lighter by 5oz compared again, to a 'normal' G1 or any comparable aftermarket leather jacket. It is very comfortable, I'll give it that. So, if you're a G1 buff don't get this. If you just want something to knock around in and don't care for historical accuracy get it. 2XL (48) was my choice. I went with one size up which corresponded to my actual size 46 and measurements were accurate except for the waist. Hope this helps.

A superior jacket to others I considered purchasing.The quality of the leather, lining, cuffs and waist is over all outstanding.I think with proper care this is a 20 or more year jacket.

I purchased this not quite knowing what to expect, but right off the bat found the seller very helpful as he wanted to make sure I chose the right size, as apparently the sizing is off on Amazon. I went from ordering a medium to a small and though what I received wasn’t exactly the measurements I was given, it was close enough and fit me pretty well. The leather seems nice, soft, and decently thick.There was unfortunately a horribly strong chemical odor when I removed it from the bag, but thankfully a few hours airing it outside got rid of the smell.I have to admit that apart from the initial smell, this jacket was way better than I expected for what I paid. I’ve bought leather jackets for more than double that weren’t as good. If you’re on the fence, give this a chance and be prepared to deal with the initial smell. If that doesn’t put you off you should be very pleased.

Ordered a goatskin leather USN Bomber jacket. Item was to be marked with USN…. It wasn’t. Zipper was sewn on incorrectly… pull tab was on the left (wrong side).Tried to contact the seller three times. Never received a response. Took three weeks and three contacts with Amazon to finally get to return and get a refund.Look for a different seller.

I'm 6' tall and about 230lbs, went with the 2xlt per the Fivestar Leather recommendation. This is my second order from Fivestar Leather, and I have to say that you would be hard pressed to find a better period reproduction jacket. Is it perfect, no. Is it exceptionally well made for the price, yes. There are jackets that cost well over three times the price and the fit is just about as nice as one of those, if not better. Fivestar offers an excellent product at a far more value for the money. (One year update...The jacket is holding up well and is my go to cool weather jacket.) Buy with confidence!

Received a 55J14 jacket. Definitely a high quality jacket; more better than I was expecting. Goatskin is soft and light; not as heavy has cowhide. Has nice grain. Stitching is immaculate, on par with Eastman and Aero leathers. I did not notice any strange chemical smell which one reviewer mentioned; smelled like new leather to me. 5'7" 42 inch chest; size Medium would be the perfect fit. Size Large was a little too big for me (I prefer a slim fit) so I initiated an exchange - which was easy. A very handsome jacket, well made, and a bargain.

Firstly jacket is great. Leather is super high quality. Already did a slide on concrete with it and didn’t even rip through. 2 things i will say is the medium tall size the sleeves are a little long and I was probably better going off with a medium size overall. Also when it came, the leather was super dry and stiff. Had to condition it over night. The next mourning it was soft as it should be
