Very durable
This size makes a nice round cut out around sprinkler heads. It tears the turf up in the center but as far as getting access and prep for backfilling it works wonderful.

Worth the money
Watched my lawn sprinkler company one season and saw what they did for the money they charged. Opened my lawn sprinklers this year withoit any issue and cleaned around every head with this. Paid $60 but saved $100 and $160 each year to come. Measure your sprinkler head diameter before buying as there are several options. To big means big holes around the head, too small can damage the sprinkler head. Would recommend. Very sturdy as well

Sturdy tool that saves time trimming around pop-up sprinkler heads
This arrived in a large box marked “Fragile.” It’s anything but fragile. It’s a very solid and hefty steel tool that makes it possible to quickly trim excess grass around pop-up sprinkler heads. It’s a huge time-saver.

I should have bought this years ago!!
I don't like to spend money, so I kept using cheaper methods, of servicing and replacing my sprinklers over the years. Finally, I moved and had a new home built. The company that installed my in-ground sprinkler system, of course used cheap labor, and did a lousy job. They would not stand behind their work, so it was up to me, to fix everything. The problem was, that when the sod was laid over the pre-installed system, the sprinkler heads were below dirt level. So as the grass grew, the head could not pop up high enough the clear the grass.I grew tired of manually having to dig around the sprinkler heads, to clear the body so I could remove and raise them. This took forever, and just plain wore me out, after hand digging and replacing just one head.I finally splurged for this item, and after using it one time, I was patting myself on the back for finally doing something right and buying the right tool for the right job. This is very much worth the money!!

This Tool Is Built to Last
This is a professional landscaper quality tool made from heavy-gauge welded carbon steel. It has a red powder-coat finish. The handle is welded to the shaft and consists of a bare tubular rod with no rubber grips that would eventually wear-out, and they would because this thing is going to last a l o n g time. The person using this probably has a nice pair of work gloves already, so this isn't going to be a problem. Both the thrusting and the cutting portions of the blade are very sharp and serrated.Yes, it took some serious coin to get it, but you're getting a tool that designed to do one thing, and do it well. Gone are the days of using cheap stamped metal "bulb cutters" for this chore, and have to finish-up with a knife or trimmers afterward.Only complaint is my grass (Tifway Bermuda) has rhizomes that tend to want to wind around the blade. But that is a grass issue and not a trimmer issue.

He tried it and was amazed at how easy and efficient the trimmer worked on ...
Item was delivered while my yard guy was here. I showed him the sprinkler head trimmer. He tried it and was amazed at how easy and efficient the trimmer worked on both spray heads and pop up rotor heads. I made him a deal. I would give him the trimmer free of charge and he would keep my sprinkler heads trimmed at no cost to me. He will use the trimmer to offer sprinkler head trimming as part of his lawn care package. He has over 250 customers. This was a good day for this 81 year old. No worry about sprinkler head trimming and helping offer a new landscape service feature. I'm sure that he will be ordering more for all his crews. BUY THIS ITEM!!! You will fall in love with it. I failed to mention that we have St. Augustine grass which is notorious for covering everything in it's path.
