with a good message. The illustrations are beautiful
My 2.5 year old loves this book. We originally found it at our public library, and it made our short list of books to purchase. It is a simple story, with a good message. The illustrations are beautiful! I would love to have some of them as prints to hang on the wall. We will be following Hannah Harrison's future books. She is very talented.

Awesome book
Absolutely love this book! The illustrations are adorable. Bernice is such a great character. Also great for talking about what to do when you are having a bad day or dealing with disappointment. The text is witty and just a really good story. My 3 year old requests it again and again.

Beautiful Illustrations
A book with a character named Bernice? No way I wasn't going to buy it. So cute and the illustrations are gorgeous.

it makes you feel sad all over
The artwork is delightfully expressive! How Harrison plays with color and perspective enhances the emotion of the story so well. Just looking at those eyes when Bernice receives that "plain white square from the middle" of the birthday cake, it makes you feel sad all over. One can understand how she gets carried away...

Great book for toddlers and parents!
My almost two year old loves this book. The story line is very sweet and teaches the use of emotions. Also, its short and quick enough that it keeps her attention. She, and I, love the illustrations. I actually had to purchase this book for her after we borrowed it from the local library as she kept asking for it!

Great for toddlers - 6 y/o
My kids are at the stage where sharing is difficult. I’ve found that reading stories like this helps illustrate and teaching sharing.

Great for everyone involved.
One of my daughters favorites. I also enjoy reading it just as much as she loves to listen to it.
