I have several training rings which are made of steel but I did not have a bamboo ring and when I saw this model (IRQ Wing Chun Rattan Ring Ye Wen sau Sticky Kung Fu hand strength training Tsun Siu Lum Taiji) on Amazon for a bargain price I immediately purchased it.When I received his product I began to work with it and even though the inside diameter is only 8.3 inches I was able to do the numerous martial art (Kung Fu, Tai Chi, and Qigong) exercises with this light weight wooden ring. As someone who has been involved in numerous martial art and self-defense systems (Karate Do, Judo, Jujitsu, American Combatives, Target focus training, Hanbo-Jutsu, Kenjutsu, Tai Chi, Qigong, and Reiki) for more than 60 years I love training with the metal and bamboo training rings. One of the fantastic things I like about these martial art rings (I call them that name (Mar for short) is their versatility and the great number of exercises you can do with this simple device.If you are seeking a very reasonably priced took to improve your martial art techniques whether it is a Kung Fu system or another fighting art method, you should check out this bamboo training ring. Great for training

Great ring for intended use and price. The one I received is a little larger than advertised and not perfectly round, which is just fine. It varies from 8 1/2” to 8 11/16” ID. The cane itself is about 7/8” dia. The joint is finished very smooth, but is visable, with red glue and visable nails. Quality ring with a distinctly natural and handmade look and feel.
