Flashback and Determination
This is another great volume of AOT. We get the finale of this arc and we are introduced to a flashback of the trainee's training. We are introduced to two new characters Captain Levi and Commander Erwin. This volume was full of suprises and lots of action, so you will enjoy that.Story: The story is definitely getting better. I believe the story was a lot more positive this time then it usually is. Don't get me wrong their is some nasty stuff in this volume, but I think more good things happen then bad things. The end of volume gave a really big cliffhanger, so I am excited for the next one. 4/4Character development: There is plenty of character development this time. We are introduced to a flashback of how the trainee's trained and prepared against the titans. We are also introduced to my favorite character in the series Captain Levi. He has awesome introduction to the series. 3/3.Artwork: The artwork is splendid and I can't complain. 3/3Overall, this was another great volume of AOT and expect them to keep coming. I am curious about what is to come next, and I wonder who is the main antagonist of this manga and when he/she/it will be introduced. Of course the titans are major bad guys, but you always got a main antagonist so who will it be?10/10

An extended flashback
We finally have the development of many of the supporting characters as well as the development of the training, but the flashback is at a strange point that is actually a bit confusing in terms of the narrative thrust. Levi being introduced is felt in a profound way. One thing that is really hit on though is that the characters are children and the armies are largely made of militarized teens in a way that doesn't even really make sense in the terms of the dystopia Hajime Isayama is developing. I will say that the figure design is limited where it is hard to tell characters apart, particularly male characters.

Great Series
I started reading this series after I saw the anime. I'd been hearing about it for so long I followed and I wasn't disappointed. I will point out that the anime is actually better to me, but that's because I like the voices chosen for the characters. I am not unimpressed with the visual novel though. I actually got a thrill out of seeing that the Kindle version actually moves in the right direction for a Japanese book rather than the reverse (the direction books from America tend to be).The plot is intriguing, the characters are decent, and the art is adequate. I am enjoying this book and will continue to purchase the Kindle version so I can read it on my iPad a second time if I feel like it. I'd warn readers though that this series is not a child's series and there are some rather philosophical questions that come up when reading.

It's an interesting series BUT...
i want to purchase the complete collection (Volumes 1-29) but it's not available for Kindle for PC. Three weeks ago purchasing the 28 Volumes one by one was equal in cost to purchasing the 28 Volume collection. Now to purchase the 29 Volumes one by one costs about $20 more than the complete collection. No fair! I already purchased 3 Volumes. Please make the 29 Volume collection available to Kindle for PC.12/13/2019 UPDATE: The single sale price of the 29 volumes has been updated to match the price of the 29 volume collection.

Buckle up, because this review is about to take you on a wild ride through the walls of Paradis Island.Reclaiming the Lost: The volume opens with humanity's desperate attempt to reclaim Wall Rose using Eren's newfound Titan powers. Isayama masterfully depicts the thrill of victory laced with the ever-present fear of Titan attacks. The action sequences are nothing short of phenomenal, with Eren's Titan form a whirlwind of destruction against the colossal Titans. But amidst the chaos, Isayama also injects moments of humor and camaraderie that remind us of the Survey Corps' unwavering spirit.Beyond the Walls: The true strength of Vol. 4 lies in its exploration of the world beyond the walls. We finally venture outside, and the sheer vastness and mystery are both exhilarating and terrifying. Isayama's world-building is at its finest here, introducing new cultures, political landscapes, and colossal Titan lore that will have you questioning everything you thought you knew.Character Crossroads: Each character grapples with the weight of their choices and the horrifying realities they face.
