Great product!
So I purchased a steel griddle for my induction cook top because I could not find a cast iron one that was flat on the bottom and top. I warmed up the griddle on my grill to 275 and put about a tablespoon of oil on it per instructions. It said to use a spatula to trowel the oil around and cover all of the surfaces. I did that for the first 2 applications but began to notice some spots where the seasoning was much thicker than other areas. From there on, I used a paper towel and coated the griddle evenly. It worked much better than the spatula. I wished I had started with the paper towel to begin with. A t-shirt would have probably been the best. At any rate, after coating it 5 times and letting each layer harden on, I shut off the grill and left it inside to cool off slowly. When I removed the griddle late that night it was just warm to the touch, but the seasoning was rock hard and not sticky at all. The whole process took me about 5 hours as I was letting the oil bake on for about 30 minutes in between coatings. I used the griddle the next night to cook some burgers and vegetables on my cook top. I started out on 5 which is about 375 degrees and had no problems with sticking at all. I turned one of the burners up to 6.5 ( about 450 ) and the burgers started to stick, so some caution there. After I finished and was cleaning it off later on, I used a sponge that had cocoa mat on one side and sponge on the other and it cleaned right up. I even used soap on the sponge and it did not remove any of the seasoning. So the final on this is I am really impressed with this product and would say that it works just as good as teflon without the worry of scratching it. It creates a really hard coating that washes completely clean and glass smooth (without the usually stickiness you get from lard) as long as you coat it evenly and take your time in the seasoning process. I highly recommend this product.

It works
This is a preliminary review. I will edit if anything changes.I used this oil on a Lodge reversible griddle/grill and two skillets. All had sticky spots and bare metal where the seasoning had come off. The griddle was flaking seasoning into food. I scoured the utensils but did not strip them completely. (I know, I should have. I hope I don't regret that.) I followed the instructions on the bottle carefully, with one exception: After the first application, I used a clean tuck-weave cleaning cloth instead of paper towels to apply oil and wipe off excess. My paper towels were shedding fibers onto the cookware. Maybe I have cheap paper towels.I put on five applications before using. Finished the five last night and tried the griddle. My wife and I took turns cooking different things on it. The surface is very consistent doesn't stick — not quite as slick as a plastic-coated non-stick pan but very good. The pans look great. On one of the skillets, a vintage 1950s skillet with sloping sides, I left a little too much oil for the first application and it came out a little streaky where the oil sort of gathered in the oven. However, after four more layers, that isn't an issue. I'm trying to make that my omelet pan and on my first attempt, it didn't stick, despite my lack of omelet-making skills. Each application:Heat in 200-degree oven for 30 minutes,Rub oil on with lint-free cloth,Wipe with a lint-free cloth until it looks dry,Heat in 450-degree oven for about 70 minutes (allowing 10 minutes for the oven temperature to go up from 200 to 450, then an hour at 450),Turn off heat and allow to cool for at least 2 hours.I was able to do 2 cycles a day. Good project if you're home alone due to pandemic. Easy to apply. You will get a lot of fumes so you'll want to run your vent fan and open your windows. The fumes aren't awful but you won't want to sealed in the house with them.I would give this five stars except for the price. This is a tiny bottle, just 4 oz for 17 dollars. I know it's organic and kosher and all that, but you can get flax oil for $10 for an 8 oz bottle on Amazon. On price alone, I probably would not buy it again.

Cast iron
I have many cast iron pans that I use all the time. I love this oil. I use it each time after washing my pans.I can heat my pan good and hot and just put a dab on and rub it in. It doesn’t smoke, I love that about it and it seasons well.
