Rise of the Dragons

Have read all the "Septimus Heap" novels and this is just as good! Will pass on to my grandchildren when finished!

Quick delivery, GREAT price for hardcover book. My son LOVED it...just have to wait until 2020 until book 2 is released.

As far as the book goes as an independent story, it is OK. There are some nice descriptive parts about the "other" world, and the birth and growing of the silver dragon, BUT, I bought this based on Sage's previous work and other comments stating that if you liked her previous books, then this is a must. I cannot agree.The Spetimus Heap books are a very positive, engaging and somewhere to easily get escaped into. Beautiful forests, castles and characters... but this has a very negative vibe. Children enslaved by nasty masters, a fortress using children as slaves to appease dragons, mothers having terminal (?) illnesses. No, Nothing like the magical world in her previous works. I found I lost more and more interest towards the end of the book. I thought the two worlds would have much more interaction, but as another review states, they stay separate right until the very end.Sorry Ms Sage, this one just wasn't for me. Bring back Septimus and Todhunter!

My 10 year old loves this series. He loves reading.
