Sunday 1080P HDMI AV Adapter Cable for Connect Samsung Galaxy S6/S7/S7 Edge to HD TV

This product is almost exactly what I needed! The wifi gets a little off on timing every now and then, but I mainly use it for workouts, so I can keep going while it catches up(which is normally just a second or two). I use it for BeachBody On Demand workouts that I download at work and do at home. It also works great for streaming movies from my phone, as our Blu-Ray player sometimes messes up our streaming quality/connection. The instructions were useless to me and I got very frustrated before turning to YouTube for help. So, just go to YouTube from the get go.Deciding to Purchase: I was confused by the descriptions and some reviews about whether or not this needs wifi (which I took to mean "a connection to the internet/data"). This might just be my ignorance, but I wanted to share anyway. So, you DO NOT NEED a wireless internet connection to use this device. This device has wifi built in and your phone (or device) has to have wifi/capability to turn on wifi. They use the wifi to connect to each other, not to any data or internet (although you can use the internet/data). This was important to me as we use our phones for internet and our service at home is not great. I wanted to download content and view the content offline and it does just that!

I love this thing. I live in the boonies and my smartphone has been my internet for years using USB tethering. This item has allowed me to stream movies from phone using my prime account directly to my flatscreen and projector. Infact, I just used it in my camper this weekend while at the lake to stream YouTube videos for the kids. It's an awesome product. I wish I knew about this sooner. One small note is that for Android, you need to flip the switch located on the HDMI plug..took a few videos to figure that out but once I did, linking it to the phone was instant. Definitely worth the money and a must have item if you don't have Wi-Fi available.

The instructions that come with this are the worst ever. Thank goodness I read the reviews and Jim L had figured it out and wrote a step by step. This company needs to contact him for instruction reviews. Anyways here is what he wrote."Here's how.1: Plug the mini plug on the dongle into the MiraScreen (HDMI).2. Plug the MiraScreen into HDMI2 and the USB into the USB port on the back of the TV. If there's not enough power you may have to connect it to a wall adaptor, but there's one that came with your phone.3. Change the TV input to HDMI2. The cover page should show up.4. On your S7, slide the settings down from the top. The first button top left is WiFi. Hold your finger down on the WiFi button and a screen will come up for WiFi / WiFi Direct. Click on WiFi Direct. You don't need WiFi or internet, only your phone and the MiraScreen.5. It will search for the MiraScreen and show it on your phone screen. Click on it.6. At the top of your TV screen is the address and to the right is the 8 digit Password. Enter it into the S7.7. Slide the settings down from the top again, move to the right to Smart View and click on it.VOILA. What's on your S7 should now magically appear on the screen."

Instructions need to be re-written. I searched internet for tips specific to our phones, Samsung S7 and S5. Also, look at the Mirascreen dongle carefully before you insert it in HDMI port. There is a little button that needs to be toggled if your phone is not recognizing this device. You probably wouldn't find it by fumbling around while it's inserted in the TV. Once I got through all that, it works great. Streaming video quality(I have tried Amazon prime and Netflix so far along with whatever I had on my phone) is excellent and I have an older model LG tv as well as older model phones.

some of the reviews are false as this unit must have internet access in order to work when some reviews falsely stated it creates its own bluetooth/wifi connection without internet access and you can stream from your phone or tablet which is false. Unless you can access a wifi signal, it doesn't work. You can simply purchase a chrxomecast and its easier and more intuitive and works without issues. This was a waste to purchase. Since its not a PRIME item, you have to spend half of what you spent purchasing it on the return to get tracking ignorer to get a refund

I hooked this to a movie projector that has an HDMI slot and then plugged the USB into the projector.I had to watch a YouTube video to see how to sync this with my Samsung Galaxy 7 because the directions were not easy to understand.Once I got everything working and projected onto my projector screen, I played a movie. The picture was good but the sound was horrible. I have used a fire stick and get great sound from my projector. Not sure why this made the sound much lower.The wifi didn't seem as strong as when I use the firestick. The wifi buffered some.I bought this to watch my cable tv subscriber through my phone app. It didn't work as well as I thought it would. For viewing pictures from your phone it works fine.Not sure how it would work on a TV because that is not why I bought it, I have a smart tv.If the sound would have been better I could have rated it higher. Probably should have bought something else but, I'll keep it for picture viewing from my phone since it cost less than $16.00.

I absolutely LOVE this. It was an easy setup, (after my friend explained it). It works even though I don't have internet. It does pixel a movie/show once in a while but you can still enjoy whatever you're watching. I'm getting internet soon & can only imagine how much better it'll be. I ordered another one for my 2nd TV. No need to pay $100+ for cable when you have this & a cell phone. I use it with my app "show box" (Helps if you have unlimited data.) I can't say enough good things about it.

Initially had a little trouble connecting. But things went much smoother after I downloaded the app on my phone Galaxy S7. The app is Elmira . Also make sure you click the little switch on the dongle to switch it to cast mode. I can see on the TV monitor everything on my phone in portrait mode. When I played purchased Google play movie it went straight to full screen mode on its own. overall did what I was expecting and worked great

Was able to plug into my tv. Clicked the button on the part that plugs into the t.v. and set my phone to Wi-Fi and it picked it up so I can use my phone wireless on my reg tv.

Often has issues maintaining video transferOften wont work at all, even immediately after working great. Inconsistent. Not worthwhile

Overheats and freezes within 30 minutes. Ineffective chrome cast.
