This item is so comfortable compare to the original band. It makes of fabric material with velcro lock, not plastic and sticky. I don't even aware that I am wearing it. When I wear it on my ankle to sleep, I kick around and don't feel it rubs against my bed like the plastic does and it securely stays on. It is so easy to put on and take off. Just unsnap the velcro. The other ends are like the original manufacture default. They clip on the the altar HR both ends. The part I like the most is the comfortable and not bulk looking. I am not sure how long this would last. To me it would last at least a year with normal walking and sleeping by then I am more than happy to order a replacement. I don't like to put it on my wrist just my preferences. The down side maybe if you use it for running and sweat a lot on your ankle or in rain then the velcro might get soak. In this case, I use the plastic extender on my ankle instead for the wet condition activities.update: after actively use it over a month, the velcro doesn't stick anymore. One star off for sturdiness.

I love this and it's very comfortable. The problem is even though my ankle is within the size range listed, the closures overlap on the velcro. Each end can get on the velcro to hold the fitbit in place, but the ends aren't entirely on the velcro which causes one end to stick out. I may have to add a snap on the band to ensure it stays on. Don't like the floppiness of one end as it may catch on something and the watch will fall off. So be careful on checking sizes before ordering.Update. Now I get why it’s loose on ankle - for comfort! Totally bummed this is no longer available. Have tried other style ankle straps and this is BY FAR the best. If they make it again (the Alta strap is the one that’s unavailable) grab several of them. Have upped my rating from 4 stars to 5 stars.

I use this every day. I have a mini stepper that I can also use sitting down and I found if I wrap it around the center of my foot it works really well. I tried my ankle position for the seated positions and using my Pilates reformer, but it did not register. So I started experimenting with different locations on my foot and leg. It is great to use if you are pushing a cart or pushchair as it tracks well. It is too long for my wrist, I think some use it on their wrist, but I definitely would recommend if you are trying to gain steps when you are not in a standing position (such as using exercise equipment or seated steppers etc.) Highly recommend.
