These are really perfect for removing the inner pot after cooking when it's super hot. I bought the colander that fits inside the pot (with handles removed) and find these remove that too. They are easy to clean and lower cost than other options. I was looking at the clamp sort of tool for removing the pot, but decided to try these instead and am very glad I did. Less money, longer life and super reliable. I knew about the concept from a rice cooker I bought that had a tiny version of these mitts to retrieve the inner pot. At first I thought they'd be sort of dumb, but found they worked really well, so decided to give this larger version a try for my Instant Pot. They give a sturdy hold to a heavy full pot and my hands are protected. Since getting them for the Instant Pot, I've begun using them to deal with other objects like a removing a hot soup bowl from the microwave. They are easy to slip on and off--much faster than a glove--and are more pliable than a pot holder. They are called 'mini' but are bigger than you think. Your thumb fits in the narrow side and all your fingers fit in the wide side.

I use these to take things out of the microwave but when I attempted to remove a sheet pan dinner from the oven, I started feeling intense heat after only a few seconds. Too bad, they look great.

There are a bunch of options on Amazon but ended up purchasing these due to the quality. I also purchased these because a family member got them for free with their Instant Pot - they love them too. They are versatile and move with your hands. I use them to lift my cast iron pans too and never had an issue.I think people think these are meant provide similar heat protection as oven mitts.

There were cheaper mitts that "compatible" with Instant Pot, but I decided to go with the original manufacturer to make sure the fit is perfect. The mitt fits under the rim just right. The silicone material is thick. The heat protection is excellent. I know these mitts main intent is to use them when holding onto the hot liner pan and handles of the InstantPot, and they certainly do the job. But I discovered I can wear them when I am washing the liner pan in hot water! It saves me from burning my fingers when the pan heats up from washing in hot water.

These mitts are perfect for the intended use. They are made to remove the stainless steel liner from the Instant Pot pressure cooker while its still hot, AND FOR NO OTHER REASON. These are not made for or marketed as oven mitts in any way, shape or form, anyone deriding them as unsuited for those purposes needs an intelligence check. These are thinner then mitts marketed for oven use, so you can curve your fingers under the lip of the liner, to lift it and place it on a trivet. They are super easy silicone to clean, so if you have a big pot of chili or something you have no worries about getting your mitts dirty. I use mine all the time, to remove the liner to allow food to cool before refrigeration, or to let meat rest while I use my spare liner for another dish.

First of all let me just say I don't have an instant pot.I got them because I love the silicone mitts like this for pulling pans out of the oven, but these particular ones attracted me with their thumb-only side. I often get the tops of the larger ones stuck in my food when I'm grabbing, so I hoped these would eliminate that problem since the top is just a small. Well, they worked for that. They do make it easier and more nimble to get pans out of the oven.However, these are flimsier and thinner then I had expected. I have other silicone mits that are all at least twice as thick as these are. These have very little heat resistance. Even a 350 degree pan can be felt fairly quickly (like, a few seconds). They are good only for a very fast grab out of the oven. You absolutely cannot hold a pan with these at all. I find that annoying, because sometimes I like to wear one to hold the pan while I'm cutting the pizza or lasagna or whatever. I cannot do that with these because the heat comes through so quickly.One of them was eaten by my dog in about two seconds, as well. He's stolen other silicone mitts before, and at least taken a few minutes to bite through them. These, just one bite and they were shreds.
