Quality POE Cameras
I use these for my entire home and they work flawlessly. Great picture and great UI for making changes to cameras themselves. The mini SD slot is also a nice feature that runs in tandem with my trendnet 16 channel NVR. Updates to the firmware are released frequently and are very easy to upload to the cameras.

and I love them!
I bought 3 of these cameras recently, and I love them! :-) Here's my thoughts on them...POE switches: forget anything Cisco. I have a few 3550 POE switches, do NOT work with the camera at all, yet they work with my Cisco IP phones LOL. Some websites I've seen while Googling to see if it would work, claim Cisco does NOT follow the standard very strictly. However, Zyzel DOES. I have a Zyzel GS-1910 48 port switch. It can handle 3 of the cameras fine, because it only puts out 45 watts total for POE. With this switch I have 3 camera operating well. Each of the cameras consumes 15 watts as per the 802.af standard it adheres to. I am buying a Zyzel GS-2200-8HP this week which puts out 180 watts, and is an 8 port switch, all ports are POE. :-)Installation: went well, no issues. Just a little tedious drilling a 1+ inch hole thru the wall so the connector would fit, but after all that noise and mess all is well. Pointing the cameras I found is easy, once you discover the collar ring unscrews and the whole camera detaches from the wall-mount base :-)The camera: they all work well, night vision is crisp and clear, and daytime is phenomenal. One thing I was NOT happy about, however, is that the item sold here on Amazon is NOT the current version of the camera. It's a version 1.0 which Trendnet's website says is DISCONTINUED!!! The current version is 1.1, and I did NOT see anywhere on the Amazon product listing that informs anyone of this!!! That is one reason I only gave it 4 stars. I am highly agitated about this GLARING omission in the product listing.Support: not the best but no big surprise. Email ticket I entered was asking about the TrendnetView Pro software and how to make it work outside my network, reply received was totally useless. I can get each of the cameras to work with IE outside my network, but there is no documentation that details doing it with TrendnetView Pro. I'll figure it out anyway in time, I'm an IT consultant :-)Overall a good camera for the money and works well. I plan on adding more when I get the 2nd Zyzel POE switch this week.

Great Camera
Bought three so far to replace older Trendnets I love these. The picture is clear. But had to use IE to set up. I bought cheaper ones from another manufacturer, but these are much better.

Flawed firmware
I've used Trendnet cameras for years. Always been a good product. But when one of our cameras broke I ordered a replacement and I could not get it to connect to our email server to send alerts. Worked with tech support and after they investigated it they acknowledged that the latest firmware in their 315PI had a flaw and was not working. Really? Did anyone test it first? Maybe it's time to move on. Returning it and I'll try a different brand

4MP Version is adequate
So far I have (2) of these 4 MP PoE cameras. Resolution of the 4 MP is barely adequate, so I would not recommend the 2 MP and forget the 1.3 MP unless you just want basic security monitoring. For me, I like having a 'window' to the outside world while I work in my home office. I live at a small desert airport and I like to keep an eye on the comings and goings of the runway and airport driveway so 4 MP gives me an adequate view of what's going on, even at a distance. When there is something to see the 4MP gives me enough definition to zoom in (digitally) to get a closer look, but I wouldn't say it is actually 4 mega pixel quality. I still have an Intel 1.3 MP camera that I bought in 1999 and if I take a photo of the same scene my that my TrendNet 4 MP camera is pointed at, there is no comparison. With the 1.3 MP Intel I can clearly read license plates at a distance, but with the 4 MP TrendNet - no way! There's just not enough detail to see small details. What really let's this product down is the software and the support. The software has a very limited versatility for setting up the display of live feeds. Using the TRENDnetVIEWPro software, there is no way to zoom-in, and adjusting the layout of live feeds is extremely limited. You can get a full-screen view of a camera feed, which will give you a sharper view, but it takes several seconds for the software to adjust to full resolution; and by that time the action has already past, making it pretty useless. Worst of all, when any kind of scheduled or motion capture video is turned on the software will eventually crash within a few hours, e.g. if I turn on the motion capture at night it will crash by the time I wake up in the morning - again, making it useless! What good is a security system that crashes once a day? And when it crashes it loses all previously recorded video, thus useless!Technical support is out of Chennai India and is staffed by people who are at the same time extremely arrogant and barely acquainted with modern technology. I have spent several hours online with these folks and have got to know a few of them pretty well. We have to remember that some of these 3rd world cultures are just coming out of the 'dark ages' technologically, so I have extra patience for these people. However, there is no excuse for the fact that 50% of the information given to me by their tech support staff is either inaccurate or outright wrong! Each time I call I have had only simple questions and each time it's taken them hours of struggle just to accomplish the simplest things. In the end I ended up solving the problems myself, such as the setup program on the CD fails to detect a new camera, so I set-up and change the IP address manually, etc.The cameras and firmware are designed in California and are basically sound. IMPORTANTLY--If you update the firmware, be sure to check the sticker on the camera for v1.0 or v1.1, etc. and only use the firmware that is associated with that version, else you will brick the camera! Otherwise, plan on spending about $60 for third party software; because the cameras are useless unless you've got descent software to run them. Just search "security camera software".
