VikingCulinary 3-Ply Sauce Pan, 2 Quart, Stainless Steel

The pan was easy to lift and maneuver. Heats well on glass cook tops without scorching. Suitable for all general purpose cooking.

In the listing it says that this Viking 2 qt sauce pan is "Handcrafted in USA", while the label on the pan received says "Made in China".While the photo at the top of this listing shows a metal lid, I instead received a glass lid with a metal rim. Will this glass lid be a problem going forward? The reason I say that is after I initially washed it, water got trapped between the glass and the inside of the metal rim. Therefore, whenever I'm making sauces will some of the liquid from the sauces also get trapped there -- and possibly be a source of mold? Will Viking's lifetime warranty cover mold forming within the rim of the glass lid? I guess time will tell.

Although the listing says 2 pieces (implying 2 saucepots) it means 1 saucepot and 1 lid. Although quite expensive when I bought, the price has gone up $36.00 in one year! However, it is excellent quality stainless steel, has a good feel in your hand, heats well, and cleans up exceptionally well compared to the 2 quart saucepot that came in a set of pots. for small meals like brussels sprouts, corn, beans, or peas, it works perfectly. My only complain is the High Price. Cut the price by 2/3 and I just might buy another one! I really do LOVE this saucepot!!!

It looks and cooks great. I was surprised to see it had a glass lid (my old one had stainless lid, and I thought the pic showed the same - but I reviewed it again and it is glass, so my error there). I hope this pan holds up as well as the pan I had to replace. Looks like it might. Wonderful product!
