Terrible stuff. I bought this mascara as I had read some good reviews. It is supposed to be waterproof but within an hour of putting it on I had large black smudges under my eyes and that was without getting within a 100 miles of any water so I dread to think what it would be like if I did! By the end of the day most of the mascara had transferred itself from my lashes to the area under my eyes. Will probably not use the one I have bought. I would never buy it again and definitely not recommend it. What a disappointment!

Almay changed the product, so I thought that I was ordering the older version, as pictured. But that version did not come -- instead I got the same new model of this mascara that I had bought and was unhappy with at CVS. It clumps. You really have to work with it for a number of applications before it starts behaving. I was aggravated that the picture did not match the product that was shipped.

It's not totally waterproof, I'll explain. It won't smudge if your eye waters, but unlike other waterproof products, it doesn't stick to your lashes like glue for days. At the end of the day, all I do is wash it off, no need to use oil based makup removers. I have Graves disease and my eyes are sensitive and tear a lot, so I need products that won't irritate or run if my eyes water, this one works well. Lastly, it doesn't clump, it coats the lash, unlike others that you have to lay on heavy. And, it is so reasonably priced. And that's why I like this mascara a lot!

I have been searching for a waterproof mascara to wear as a coating over washable mascara. (That makes the washable layer stay on better throughout the day and is easier to wash off at night.) My eyes are often itchy and watery from allergies. This mascara does not irritate my eyes. It stays on quite well in a hot and humid climate. It washes off with reasonable ease at night. The only reason I did not give it a 5 is because it only gives average coverage. It is fine, but doesn't stand out as an amazing volume or length mascara.

I have had a very serious eye problem with photophobia and light sensitivity for five years attributed to a highly allergic reaction to a treatment option. Anything near my eyes caused severe dryness and swelling . Even the high priced natural mascaras and Clinique does not work as well .This is truly hypoallergenic and is a good product for lash length. Love it .
