MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust Muffler 14419: 3"/3" Inlet/Outlet, 4x4x14" Round, Stainless Steel, Brushed Finish

It looks cool it was made very well pretty controlled drone

I purchased this to replace my stock muffler on my 2012 4.8L Silverado. I had my local shop install it, only took them about 15 minutes. It does drone a bit inside the cab at certain RPMs, but that's because I have the exhaust dumped just before my axle. But it isn't obnoxiously loud. It's more quiet than my '95 Sonoma (2.2L - 4 cylinder) with a gutted interior and straight pipe exhaust, with the same style dump. Can still hold a conversation without yelling over the drone, and can still listen to music, no problem. The idle is nice and low, with a nice rumble, but definitely opens up and screams when getting on it. Definitely sounds like how a v8 should. Glad I chose Magnaflow. (PN - 14419)P.S... I just had it installed today. (May 2022). From what I've read, they will get a little louder and give a deeper tone once fully broken in. I'll do another review to give my thoughts and see if there are any changes to the sound quality. So far, I'm happy with the purchase.9 months after install: (Feb, 2023) Still very happy with the purchase. The sound is still very crisp and I noticed the tone did get deeper and is more refined. The sound did get a bit louder too, but still not obnoxiously loud. Even with it dumped before my axle, the drone in the cab still isn't that bad. I can still hear my music and can still have a conversation without having to yell over the drone. Also, when cruising between 35-45 the exhaust sound is almost non existent. But when I get on it, it really opens up and screams. I'm very happy that I chose Magnaflow (PN-14419) for my 2012 4.8 Silverado.

I received the muffler in like 3 days came nice a sealed and these sound pretty good

The price was very reasonable. I installed the muffler myself and I was amazed at the sound. I really like it and so does all my buddies they say it really sounds good going down the road.

The media could not be loaded. I put it on my Silverado 2006 engine 5.3 and I liked it, it's not an irritating sound and when you go at constant speed on a highway it's quiet but when you accelerate it sounds very good and not noisy

I ended up returning mine as I didn’t like the sound. However, it was packaged well and was as advertised (aside from not being shiny like pictures). Mine did appear to be used as there were dents from someone clamping it previously. However, this didn’t affect anything and I just clamped it in the same spot. I switched to an oval shaped model and am very happy with it (also magnaflow).

Took the rasp out of the ls the kids love these days. No more annoying exhaust. Zero drone. Mid muffler fitment was perfect. Zero loss in performance just tone changed.

These are no longer a mirror polish as the product description states. Any reviews that show polished are either older reviews or they lucked out and got old stock. They are brushed stainless, and the Magnaflow website already says these are brushed. I contacted Magnaflow about this, they replied it was polished even though their Magnaflow website says 14419 is brushed. Then they asked for photos, explained that they used to be a high polish, but that what I got in the photo is correct, but they still called it polished.
