Great Value
I really love this palette! However it is HUGE! Definitely hard to travel around the house with because it’s also heavy. I knew it was going to be a studio palette but it really barely fits in my desk. I placed it on a lazy Suzan to help maneuver around it. If you have a lot of space for a studio palette it’s definitely worth it. Especially with the lid being present now.I love the amount of color slots, too, and I modified the corners with some hot glue to double the corner slots each to fit in 4 extra colors. It’s very easy to mix on the surface, however I do wish there was a way to adjust the mixing space to create separate mixing wells similar to their rectangle palette which has two mixing spaces. It’s very easy to clean.

This watercolor palette is a steal!
This watercolor palette is a steal! I love how solid it feels in my hand. The unglazed bottom was a concern for me but I plan to add felt stickers to protect my painting service. Especially for the price, it's way better than some of the more expensive palettes out there. Totally recommend it!

It’s about one step down the value scale from white.
I was a bit intimidated by this one based on what I’ve seen on online reviews on this, but the size and weight are more manageable than I expected. It’s a perfect fit inside the drawer of my studio desk, which I hadn’t anticipated based on the measurements. However, it will not fit in there with the lid on. Not a problem. I can wrap it in cling wrap and it’ll be fine. You may want to know that the color is not a pure white, which may be offputting for watercolor artists. It’s about one step down the value scale from white, which was a bit of a surprise. I expect I will adapt. I don’t feel the need for a Lazy Susan underneath it; rotates easily, and my desk is not going to be the worse for wear with a few more scratches. This is just a first impression. If I have anything useful to add after putting it into rotation, I will update.

Fabulous!
This is a lookalike for the Stephen Quiller palette but appears to be identical. Can’t imagine that the original is any better for double the price. I used some large furniture bumpers on the bottom to protect my table and keep it from moving. I love this one. It is thick and smooth and beautiful. It is not portable to say the least but if you have the room, it’s a great buy.

Love this palette
Paint just mixes so beautifully on this palette. And cleans up to its pure white when finished. I love my colors to be fresh and transparent. Ceramic makes that easy.

Super sturdy and provides lots of slots and mixing surface
There's nothing like laying out watercolor paints on a pristine ceramic container. This palette has a lot of room for a range of colors and for mixing. Because of the size and weight, it's only suitable for studio use, but it is really perfect for that. Like oil painting palettes of the masters, this is a work of art unto itself. It gives me joy just to look at it.

Great, heavy ceramic studio palette - awesome price compared to "other big name" version!
I kept debating whether or not to buy this, but I'm so glad I did! I'm a beginner and I've seen the more expensive version (three times this price!) by another manufacturer and that just isn't in my budget. Many artists (my mother, included, who has been painting for over 60 years) will tell you it's not necessary to use ceramic, spend that much money, etc. They're right. But this is also the most awesome quality and I love the way watercolor behaves on ceramic vs plastic palettes. I have several plastic palettes of various sizes, plus a ceramic egg dish, and a small ceramic palette that came with an American Journey quinacridone color set that I absolutely love, but it only has 5 round wells, and 5 mixing wells.I figured that for a fraction of the price of the "other" big name ceramic color wheel palette, this one was worth investing in and I'm so glad I did! My plan is to initially only add my warm and cool primary colors, plus a few other staple colors I know I love and will use, really work on my color mixing and learning how the paints behave, and slowly fill in the other paint wells over time. This thing is HEAVY, BIG, and perfect as a stay-at-home studio palette. The cover is sturdy plastic that will provide a great, large mixing area! Another review said you can take sandpaper to smooth out the bottom if it's rough, but mine really isn't. I can't wait to start using this thing!
