Works great for your T-Mobile plan
I originally purchased a hotspot from T-Mobile and pay a monthly fee to access internet in an area that is not picked up by my own carrier's signal, but works excellently with T-Mobile. After two years the hotspot stopped working. After determining it was not a dead battery, I called a T-Mobile store who told me that they don't know if they have a replacement hotspot. I ordered this hotspot off Amazon, popped in the sim card from T-Mobile and I am back online! Some tips: this hotspot works only with USA-enabled T-Mobile phones. When you get the unit, google "tmobile IMEI check" and enter the IMEI number on the box to make sure it is compatible with the Tmobile network. Then you should be good to go. If you don't have a TMobile SIM you can get one at the store (but most likely have to sign up for a plan).

Call T-Mobile and know your EMEI number printed on the outside of the box.
Inserted the T-Mobile card that was included, called T-Mobile. Read the IMEI number and they activated a new unlimited phone line. They also had to go in and unblock the device and it activated with no issues.I disconnected my home router to see how it would hold up with multiple home devices. Added two cell phones, an iPad, and my home MAC. It streamed two 20 minute videos on two devices at once from YouTube (phone, computer). When I have more time with it I will add more devices and see how it holds up. So far no issues. The device is much smaller than I thought it would be. Close to a credit card size long and about 6 credit card thick. I will be purchasing. A second one soon. One for travel, one for home.Good to know: All other passwords etc are in the inside label of the battery lid. But the EMEI is on the outside of the packaging box. T-Mobile needed the number when activating the device.

Not happy.
The build of this hotspot is second rate, it's not clear how the lid goes, the finish is rough, the lettering for the slots and buttons is just OK. This is not an electronic gadget that is pleasnt to the touch, considering that I paid $80 for it. Was it worth it? No. But I wouldn't say that the product doesn't work good. It works OK. It's a T-Mobile hotspot, and T-Mobile's interface for managing the hotspot and the different website to manage your T-Mobiole account are way sub-par. What I'm saying is: T-Mobile's hotspot service is bad. I bought this mediocre piece of technology and couldn't use it after three weeks because the hotspot service was unavailable. Those are the facts. I solved the hotspot problem differently and now I have this device that I can't use. Needless to say, I would be glad, even considering its mediocrity, if the service were a bit better than the 1980s standard it reminded me of.

Most Affordable Hotspot on the Market
Fast connection, unlimited data - though 10GB is the max, the hotspot will still connect with normal speeds. Sometimes, the hotspot will freeze every 24+ hours, so you'll have to remove the battery and reinsert it. Also, streaming will sometimes freeze and load several times a day, though it will eventually pick up speed in a couple of minutes. Overall, a portable, easy way to save phone data for heavy streamers. Also, it's the cheapest hotspot, costing only $40 for basically unlimited data.
