good size, runs long time, accurate, good price
Someone said he only could get 8 hours or run time so not sure what his problem was unless he didn't know how to wind the watch. I wound the watch and it almost ran for 2 days, maybe 45 hours or so, in fact the longest run time out of all my pocket watches. The watch is also accurate as I timed it with my computer clock and stayed on time the whole time. The wood is nice and gives this watch class. The price is unheard of for mechanical watches. The second hand is silky smooth and nice to see the springs working. It may not be made out of gold but seems to be worth as much at least, much more than expected.

A non-steampunk 'steampunk' pocket watch
Unfortunately for those of us out there who want to have pocket watches for distinction and not role play, a lot of modern pocket watches are advertised as steampunk. You know what I mean, mechanical parts exposed, a lot of dark colors intermixed with gold, etc. Yet, with all this, antique pocket watches can be a guessing gameThis watch differs from those with a classy addition of a red-brown wood frame. Some of the internals are exposed, but the wood frame takes the attention away from that. It goes well with most colors, working on almost anything except maybe a blue vest. The chain does leave something to be desired, and a cheap, but better, chain can be bought easily enough.

It would be nice to be able to wind it for 12
The ONLY thing that keeps it from getting a full five stars is that each full wind only lasts for eight hours. It would be nice to be able to wind it for 12. Other than that, this watch is perfect. The wooden back means that if it gets bonked or bashed while lifting heavy boxes and crates, it doesn't get scratched or damaged. I can pull it out and look at it when needed instead of it being on my arm, banging into things all the time. And it looks awesome. I've yet to check the time without someone going "ooohhhhh!" over it. :D And...when it stops, I just wind it. No darned battery hunting.
