Solid extractor
I recently picked up the MUIN Solder Fume Extractor, and so far, it’s doing exactly what I need it to do. I use it mainly for soldering electronics and occasional wood burning, and it makes a noticeable difference in keeping fumes away from my breathing space.Performance: The suction power is solid for its size. As long as you position it fairly close to your work area, it pulls the smoke in effectively. My workspace stays much clearer, and I feel better knowing I’m not inhaling fumes during long projects.Filtration: The 3-stage filtration system seems to do a good job. I’ve noticed a significant reduction in the lingering smell after soldering. The filters are easy to access for future replacements, which I appreciate.Noise Level: The noise level is reasonable. It’s not silent, but it’s definitely quiet enough that it doesn’t interfere with concentration or conversations. Noise is subjective, but for me, it’s not distracting during use.Design & Portability: The unit is lightweight and easy to reposition if needed. It doesn’t take up much space on my bench, and the build quality feels solid. The sleek black design is a nice bonus—it looks professional.Overall: If you’re looking for a reliable, affordable fume extractor for soldering or wood burning, I’d definitely recommend this one. It works well, is easy to use, and gives peace of mind when working on projects.I will update after a couple months of use.

Can be loud but effective. Keeps the bad fumes away.
Although I still would solder in a more open area, this really does help with removing all that bad fumes away from you. I usually do a bunch of replacements on chips and doing soldering so this works great for that. When I am heating a chip off, it keeps the flux odor from coming right at me while also allowing me to maintain visual of the area I am trying to work on. The filters are pretty nice and they are pretty effective. I can see the amount of build up on the filter after several uses. It comes with three filters so you can use that how you will. I am unsure if they are able to sell replacement or if you can just wash this and reuse them. I am not entirely sure how long you can use each filter for but use your best judgement when working with this. The device is not extremely heavy but can be a bit loud. You need to make sure it is not too far from where you are soldering (five inches is recommended). It can pull the fumes away pretty well. The fan really only has one setting so you are not able to increase the speed. I honestly would not want to. The fan does cause vibrations but it does not cause the device to fall over or anything. It stands up pretty well. It is light and small enough where you can easily move this around as needed. Replacing the filter is not too hard. You just remove the front panel and swap out the filter. Although this does filter out the harmful fumes, I would still recommend you solder in an open area. Overall the device works pretty well. It is well built but easy to disassemble so you can replace the filters as needed. The device stands well but the fan can be a tad bit loud. Because you are working closely to it you, it can be a bit annoying. The filters do the job in keeping the fumes to a minimum. Would I say it is perfect? No which is why I suggest you still use this as well as solder in a more open area just to be safe. The fan is solid. It also has plenty of grills to protect your hand so you do not get it caught in the blades. It eliminates a good amount of fumes so you can be a bit safer in your work space.

Perfect for my home maker space
It works really well! The suction is good and it is not anywhere near as loud as previous units I’ve owned, and this is ways cheaper! I’m so happy about it and I will definitely recommend it to anyone hoping to find a good extractor!

Effective and compact
Powerful and great for desktop soldering jobs. I work on some small project at home and a full air hood wasnt worth it for me, but this was a perfect middle ground that allows for some fume extraction while still being quite compact and versatile.

Finally able to Solder without a mask
I am happy to share my experience qbouz the Solder Fume Extractor Filtration fan. This device is an essential tool for anyone who works with soldering iron or similar equipment that produces harmful fumes. The Solder Fume Extractor Filtration device is easy to use and compact in size. It features a powerful fan that draws in fumes and passes them through a series of filters before releasing clean air back into the workspace. The device also comes with an adjustable arm that allows you to position it precisely where you need it, ensuring that it captures fumes directly at the source. The filtration system used in this device is highly effective at removing harmful particles and chemicals from the air. It uses a combination of activated carbon and HEPA filters, which capture even the smallest particles, including lead, cadmium, and other hazardous chemicals commonly found in soldering fumes. One of the best features of this device is its quiet operation. Unlike other fume extractors that produce loud noise, this device operates almost silently, making it perfect for use in small or shared workspaces. The Solder Fume Extractor Filtration device is also very easy to maintain. The filters are replaceable and easy to access, and the device comes with a filter replacement indicator that lets you know when it's time to change them.Overall, I highly recommend the Solder Fume Extractor Filtration device for anyone who works with soldering equipment.
