Tilley Men's T3 Wanderer Hat

My previous Tilley lasted for many years. This one rotted after a couple of years. Just too expensive for a hat of this quality.

I wanted to get a navy Wanderer for vacationing. This hat is perfect. I already have one in Olive that I use for hiking. This navy one is just as comfortable and light weight. Slightly softer than the olive one. But it's still great. The Wanderer is supposed to be flimsy. The "worn in" look and feel. This hat is a original Tilley T3 Wanderer. I am very happy with this purchase.

Ich habe den Hut eine Nummer größer gekauft. Passt gut. Sonnenschutz, Sturm und Regen erprobt. Auch bei Regen guter Schutz jedoch nicht für Dauerregen! Toll das Geheimfach. Lässt sich gut falten (verpacken) und Krempe ist nicht geknickt für mich gut. Nicht billig aber gern hält meinerseits ewig.

Ich habe mittlerweile 3 Tilley T3 Hüte in oliv, die ich regelmäßig zum Wandern und Spazierengehen benutze. Auf Grund meiner sehr guten Erfahrungen mit diesen Hüten habe ich mir jetzt die Version in blau bestellt (für die Verwendung in der Stadt).Leider ist der blaue Hut nicht aus dem selben Material wie die oliven. Der Stoff ist etwas weicher und hat eine andere Struktur, wodurch die Form leider etwas instabiler beim Tragen ist (der Vorteil der eleganteren Farbe wird durch das schlampigere Aussehen aufgehoben). Ich fürchte auch, das er deshalb nicht ganz so wasserfest ist.Mal sehen, ob die Haltbarkeit auch so gut ist wie bei der oliven Ausführung (die kann ich uneingeschränkt empfehlen!). Irgendwie sieht es mir nach einer abgespeckten Version aus (es fehlen auch ein paar Details: die Schwimmeinlage im Hut, das Kunststoffsäckchen für Wertsachen, das Label ist anders...). Hoffentlich ein Original und kein Nachbau.Passform und Funktion sind aber in Ordnung.

I love my Tilley! Wear it out on the Gulf often! I’m the 3rd of my family to have one. I also love that there are choices that reflect the activities you plan.

We purchased 2 of these hats 4 months ago in Olive and Navy. Loved them so much that we chose to buy the black one when they introduced the new color. The new hat was flimsy, floppy, didn't hold it's shape, appeared to not have any waterproofing, and was simply a bucket hat that you could get anywhere for $15... Pure garbage.Tilley is manufacturing this great hat differently but still depicting as the old firm style on their website and on Amazon. The "new" Tilley Wanderer is pure garbage.
