Dynomax Super Turbo 17749 Exhaust Muffler for Chevrolet C1500

Replaced the factory muffler and had a shop fix the aweful Y pipe at the same time. 10% volume bump, much better flow and no drone at any speed. You can slightly hear it cruising on the highway but it doesnt hit an annoying resonant frequency so its not an issue. I've used Dynomax Superturbo mufflers in several different applications and they always perform as expected and have great durability. Better than Flowmaster and half the price.

I bought this muffler for my 2000 Silverado 1500 4.3 short-wide after being very tired of having it straight piped for so long. I have it ran in the factory muffler location and then dumped right behind the rear axle. I wanted it dead quiet, and I got probably as close as I can. It's definitely quieter than stock (guys who have my truck know that it has a decent exhaust note from the factory), but flows much better and still slightly audible. I'm very, very happy with it, and those who are looking for a quieter muffler with great flow need look no further than here.

A little louder than I had hoped, but tolerable and has a great sound to it.I really liked this muffler, unfortunately Dynomax will not honor any warranty unless purchased from a local dealer. No warranty if purchased on the internet from any vendor. They will not answer any questions on the phone, or by email if purchased online. Keep this in mind before purchasing as mine rusted out after 3 years.

I loved the product unfortunately I mad the mistake of buying the wrong size. I did eventually get the right size and I love the way they sound. Not as loud as a Flowmaster, but it does sound really BEEFY on my 64 Mustang.

Inlet pipe was bent a little but the muffler sounds great. Somewhat quiet at start up and at speed but a little growl during acceleration.

While physically larger than the basic performance mufflers they replaced, they fit my 1968 GTO with no problem at all. As for sound, they are just what I was looking for....Less bark, same bite.

The 17749 as tested has very low, almost zero, back pressure. Two 17749's are perfect for 7 or 7.5 liter V8 engines. In addition, the 17749 provides a nice sound, just enough engine exhaust note yet quiet enough for high speed cruising while listening to classical music. Well manufactured and great price. The design is almost impossible to improve upon.

Shipping was fast from amazon as always and the muffler is perfect for a chevy colorado slightly louder then stock removed flowmaster 50 series and put this right in sounds so much better now couldn't be happier
