I was hoping it had a shoulder strap but it didn't. I wanted a place to put my cell phone and keys. I've lost both before and wanted a safe place for them so I don't loose either one again. Without the shoulder strap it's too much like a women's purse (I'm a man and couldn't bring myself to carry a purse around [ I would just loose that too]). But thanks for asking.
