INPUT Jack This, believe it or not, is where you plug your guitar into the amp! Make sure you use a good quality guitar cable to do this. 2. GAIN Control This adjusts the overall preamp gain of the amplifier. This control can produce a wide variety of killer tones - from clean to crunchy to crazy and all points in-between! What you get all depends on how you dial this control in and also how you have the Clean/Overdrive Switch (3) set. In both Switch modes - Clean & Overdrive - turning the Gain control down (i.e. counter clockwise) will clean up your sound while cranking it up (i.e. turning it clockwise) will dirty things up. CLEAN/OVERDRIVE Switch As its name suggests, this switch puts the preamp of your Pathfinder 10 in one of two distinctly different modes - Clean (switch “out”) or Overdrive (switch “in”). TREBLE Control This adjusts the treble (high) frequencies in your tone. It can take your sound from soft and round, to bright and cutting, and any point in-between. 5. BASS Control This adjusts the bass (low) frequencies in your tone. It can take your sound from warm and light, to dark and heavy and any point in-between. 6. VOLUME Control Amazingly enough, this one determines the overall volume of the amplifier - hence its name! Setting this control high while keeping the Gain low works well for clean sounds (HINT: make sure the Clean/Overdrive Switch is “out” if you wanna go clean!), while setting the Master Volume lower, engaging the Overdrive mode and turning up the Gain will give you a fat, distorted sound at a lower, “bedroom friendly” volume. 7. It's really not a bad little amp. A casino should sound good through it. **Q: Has anyone found it to be low volume on the clean channel? I have to turn it almost all the way up to get it loud** A: It's a bit quiet on the clean channel. But the good news is you can crank the clean channel all the way without getting any of that gross solid state clipping. The amp has the headroom. For a volume boost you can also use the gain channel with the gain on a low setting. For band practice I have played this amp with a drummer. I just turned the level up a bit on a pedal to give the amp a boost. It wouldn't be enough for gigging with a drummer. But for practice it can be fine. If you're gigging, this shouldn't be your main amp. I use it as a lightweight alternative to my AC15. Because not every situation calls for a large heavy amp. This thing is small, sounds great and is very easy to bring on the go. My main amp is now a Fender Deluxe, but I actually think the Pathfinder has a more natural tone than ther Fender Frontman or Champion 20. To me it is just a great portable amp. And for a while it actually was my primary amp – I just shaped the thing to suit all of my needs with an EQ pedal. **Q: can you take it on the go without a power cable?** A: Need the power cable supplied with the amp for site connection's, unless yout have a cord that will correctly work with the unit. **Q: is this a pure tube amp?** A: No tubes, this is a solid state amp. But I must say it sounds very authentic to the legendary Vox amps from the sixties, either played clean or overdrive. Il prodotto è arrivato intatto e nei tempi prestabiliti e mi ha piacevolmente stupito andando oltre le aspettative.VALUTAZIONE DEL PRODOTTO:Questo piccolo amplificatore si presenta molto bene: ha un design vintage e delle rifiniture davvero di pregio. Ma la cosa più importante è il suono e la qualità dello stesso. Infatti, con l'amplificatore vox da 10w mi sto trovando davvero bene. È molto semplice da usare. Infatti ha solo 2 canali: pulito e distorto, un controllo sul gain, sul volume bassi e treble e volume complessivo. Infine, il volume in uscita può competere tranquillamente con un 15 watt soprattutto con la distorsione inserita. Ma la cosa più importante è che il suono, secondo il mio punto di vista, è impeccabile: nessun fruscio, nessun rumore, il cono non gracchia in nessuna configurazione. Il canale "pulito" è molto performante e rende i classici suoni che contraddistinguono questo marchio.Per studio ho già un Peavey da 15w con diversi canali e molti effetti.
