The media could not be loaded.  When we go to the beach we normally spend at least two full days out there - the only way to survive is to have some good shade for your base camp. In the past I've brought the Amazon Basics 10x10 canopy (bent under the strain of the wind) and then a heavier steel canopy. While the frame took the punishment the canopy itself only seemed to last a year or two and took up a ton of room in the van. This year I took a chance on the Hike Crew canopy for our trip to the gulf. Wow! Although about the same price as a traditional canopy this weighed so much less and was a breeze to pack and to haul out to the beach. More importantly I got the same coverage and it stood up to the winds coming in (8 knots gusts to 10 according to the weather station). Canopy height is a little lower but I'm 6'1" and had no issues standing under it.Setup is a snap and I did it solo, probably took 15 minutes on day 2 once I had it down. I don't think it is in the description, but in addition to the sand anchors that screw into the sand it comes with anchors suitable for grass and mounting to a deck(not sure I'd use it that way. No rips or tears after the first few days of use - will definitely be using this again.

My sister bought one of these and it worked beautifully on the beach in windy conditions. Unlike others like it, this one comes with three pole anchor options, which is great for terrains other than sand. I liked it so much I had to have one too!

The poles have an elastic band within which makes it easy to put them together. The coverage is good. We comfortably sat a family of four under with our blanket and had some room to make sand castles. It comes with sand anchors which have been quite helpful. It fits back in the carrying bag every time. We don’t even fold the tent, we just push it in. I have been happy with my purchase.

Very happy with this purchase. Assembles in just a few minutes but does take 3 or 4 to set it up (can be kids helping - just need someone to help hold poles). Pretty light at 10lbs, fits in a suitcase so you can take it in your checked luggage. After you get it setup it's pretty sturdy even in moderate wind. I definitely would recommend the 10x10 and not smaller unless there's just 1 or 2 of you.

Used this at Lake Michigan. Used on 3 separate days, one of which was reasonably windy. Only used the 2 pole setup because we were on the beach early in the day and sun was to our backs. It did well in the wind without burying the sand bags. A true test will be on the Atlantic Ocean beaches in South Carolina where our experience is that it is generally very windy, windier than the windy day we had in Michigan. Overall we were very satisfied though. It sets up very quickly also.

So this little gem was a God send for our family trip to the beach this year. It held up just fine during a cold snap on the ocean side of Florida this May. So easy to put up and tear down, fits in luggage perfectly, and so easy to carry out its bag. Get a shovel or two, I ordered 2 pretty sizeable shovels on Amazon and they fit into the bag and made shoveling sand a breeze!

I always base my purchases on reviews so I will be sure to be detailed on this review. The only reason this is not a five star is that it does allows fair amount of sun through as the day goes on. It doesn’t claim to be totally sun retardant but after a day of being on the beach we did have some sunburn lines. Just apply more sunscreen and you will be fine! It is so easy to set up. There are instructions but they aren’t great. That being said, it’s still easy to assemble. It’s up in five minutes with two people. It also withstood some hefty winds you just have to lean the poles. Don’t be afraid to use two three or four poles. We have done so many different versions of it. Make sure to fill your bags full and stretch them pretty tight.As a previous user of the sunbrellas, I am sold on this product. I will not go back to an umbrella just because the bag is so small and it’s so easy to use. I highly recommend it.

Purchased this sunshade to have a small and easily portable unit to transport in our boat for day trips on a Lake. It stood up pretty good to 20 mile per hour winds. Directions weren't that clear on set up but we figured it out pretty easily. I would recommend it to any one who has limited space and weight is a factor for transporting.

Nos fue útil en las vacaciones, fue fácil armar y tuvimos un lugar con sombra. Resistió los vientos.

Product is good quality and provided good shade for a large area on a beach. It is big at 12x16 feet so it does sag in the middle. Not a problem if you sit, and it is great to have a big shaded area as the sun shifts and sinks in the sky. We used the black plastic anchors for firm soil/sod or firm beach sand, did not try the sand screw anchor. As there are only 4 poles and each pole is held up by a sand filled bag at each corner, it needs adjustment with anything more than a mild breeze, especially if the wind shifts. Best to fill the sand bags to the max and pull them as far out as possible to stretch the canopy. Best to have 4 willing people and it takes about 10 minutes to set up the first time, 3 minutes to raise again if it gets blown over or too heavy with rain. Simple, well made, does the job, worked for us. Easy to disassemble, pack up and put it the truck of a car. Would definitely recommend if you are willing to spend a few extra minutes to make it as stable as possible.

Es súper fácil de armar, tiene muy buen material tanto la tela de la carpa como los aditamentos, soportó muy bien el viento, tiene buen tamaño como para 4 personas y viene todo en una maletita muy fácil de cargar y ligera. Me encanto!
