Want to know how to use an electronic component? This third book of a three-volume set includes key information on electronics parts for your projects--complete with photographs, schematics, and diagrams. You'll learn what each one does, how it works, why it's useful, and what variants exist. No matter how much you know about electronics, you'll find fascinating details you've never come across before. Perfect for teachers, hobbyists, engineers, and students of all ages, this reference puts reliable, fact-checked information right at your fingertips--whether you're refreshing your memory or exploring a component for the first time. Beginners will quickly grasp important concepts, and more experienced users will find the specific details their projects require. Volume 3 covers components for sensing the physical world, including light, sound, heat, motion, ambient, and electrical sensors. Unique: the first and only encyclopedia set on electronic components, distilled into three separate volumes Incredibly detailed: includes information distilled from hundreds of sources Easy to browse: parts are clearly organized by component type Authoritative: fact-checked by expert advisors to ensure that the information is both current and accurate Reliable: a more consistent source of information than online sources, product datasheets, and manufacturer's tutorials Instructive: each component description provides details about substitutions, common problems, and workarounds Comprehensive: Volume 1 covers power, electromagnetism, and discrete semi-conductors; Volume 2 includes integrated circuits, and light and sound sources; Volume 3 covers a range of sensing devices. Another great addition!!!
If you are a beginner, a hobbyist, or just someone who is interested in learning about different electronic components, you will absolutely enjoy this series. In these very inexpensive volumes, you will find that they provide the most essential, and up to date information, as to what a particular component is, how it is used, and what to expect from it. Most importantly, these books are extremely easy to use and to understand. Are you tired of having to go to a computer or potable device each time you want to look up a component? I find it much easier to just thumb through the index for what I'm looking for, than to have to perform a search online for each component every time. I am confident that you will be amazed as to just how much useful information that there actually is for each component in these "encylopedias." This particular volume is number 3, and hopefully it is just another addition to many more to come. You don't need feel as though you have to buy all three of the volumes at once, or ever, but I'm a firm believer, that if you need something from one volume, I guarantee that you'll definitely need something from any of the others as well. I purchased volumes 1 & 2 at the same time, I just wish that volume 3 would had been available at the same time too; but I can appreciate that there is always new information being added. I highly recommend this series of encylopedias to anyone who is interested in the world of electronics technology!

😬
Yes met my expectations. On the side note, everyone hates me and want to put me in jail for not sharing anything that i know. 😬. People really abuse power. So be careful out there.

Awesome Book!! I love it.
I'm a basic techie at heart and love this series of reference books so much that I have ordered books 1-3 to complete my set. Each book is well written and contains the information I find helpful in my person "Techie" pursuits. Thanks to both Amazon and the Authors! Great Job!!

Bellissima enciclopedia
Ho acquistato tutti 3 i volumi dell' Encyclopedia of electronic components.

Great, double great and triple great!
I already liked volume one of this series on electronic components. I read it through, I "swallowed" it. Volume two, the same. And now volume three, all about sensors. The information in this book is well presented - no "electronic Latin". Everything is explained properly, even to "electronics' newbies" like me. There are diagrams, drawings, that explain, how things work, and photos to see how things look like. As in volumes one and two they followed the same path: What is it? How does it work? What different types are there? What values are you likely to encounter? And my favourite: What can go wrong? As I said in my recension about volume 1: I had never before read through a whole encyclopedia in one go, but this one is really an eye-opener. I learned so much about electronics that I was able to take apart an old printer and identify all the components and knew how they worked. I can highly recommend this encyclopedia.

Good Introduction for relative Beginners
This series (Volumes 1-3) gives a good, clear introduction to electronic components and their application. It has enough detail to use components correctly without getting too bogged down in mathematical detail. The illustrations are clear and informative.
