Can you use this in the washing machine to soften towels?

I like to soak towels overnight in the sink with bicarbonate this softens them but I also put bicarbonate on with my washing powder for the washing machine as I am in a hard lime water area

Can you use this to clean kettle?

You can clean any think with Bicarbonate, I use it for putting my Ph up in drinking water after you take the chlorine out of the water by boiling it, Chlorine is a toxic to your body, make sure you get food grade with no aluminium in another toxic.
