perfect for the beginner who wants to knock together a ...
Totally lovely kit, perfect for the beginner who wants to knock together a few circuits with their Arduino or Raspberry Pi. It offers one huge benefit to the dabbler over other similar kits: organization. All components are carefully bagged, most of them bagged separately, with combined bags pretty logical (22pf and 104 pf capacitors are in the same bag)Resistors are labelled in a neat hand on their paper strips if you haven't learned the color codes yet.Transistors and Integrated Circuits are all listed on the little part sheet with their part number, so it's easy to google them. The cute little box stays shut with a satisfying *snap* and is secure tossed into a toolbox.A breadboard power supply is included, though as others have noted not required 6-15v input power adapter, These adapters should be widely available. I grabbed a 9v and 12v ac adapter from my local goodwill and it performed beautifully. If you need a full datasheet for this poweradapter, just search the part number '545043' and you can find all the info you'll need. This is an entirely solderless kit, with all the parts working perfectly with a breadboard.Note that if you're trying to do hardware hacking with a Raspberry Pi, this kit also includes some socket-to-prong cables, making your life a *lot* easier when connecting to its onboard pins. While this kit includes every part you might need to do your first hardware hacking, you might consider picking up a cheap multimeter and a few power-supply AC adaptors or battery boxes in addition.

Most of the Jumper wires are defective!
The kit seems okay so far and all other components checked out okay but I had troubles with the 65 pieces of jumper wires! Most of them tend to have some connection issues or the other as you twist and turn and insert them into Breadboard for Arduino Computing platform. When you are preparing your test circuit having a bad jumper wire can be nightmare. After several attempts of troubleshooting a circuit.. I found the culprit is the included jumper wires from this kit..Electronic enthusiast Builders beware..!!! the jumper wires in the kit are garbage... Forced to rate the otherwise nicely put kit down to three stars!EDIT: Nov 03 2018. - Revising the product rating to five stars! The manufacturer reached out to me and took my feedback about the jumper wires. The manufacturer was kind enough to replace the defective jumper wires. That clearly shows manufacturer cares about their product quality and provides excellent customer service. Since the replacement jumper wires are great I am revising my rating to five stars!

Elegoo Electronics Kit
I use this for parts mostly and not the intended use.

Great kit, but it's missing some key parts
Awesome starter kit for its price. I've been teaching myself electronics and this kit has saved me a lot of time. The breadboard is a bit flaky, but I've been told breadboards aren't very durable in general, so no stars off; just treat it with care and don't shove wiring deep in the sockets because the clips will pinch the wire tips off and you'll lose access to a whole row. OopsThe LEDs are veeerry sensitive so you have to be sure you aren't pumping even a little too much juice through them.!DISCLAIMER!: Although the tutorial provided online is very helpful; it is not tailored specific to this kit, so unless you have a 9V battery handy and don't plan on doing any programming or tutorial lessons, you have to buy the 9V adapter, an Arduino UNO (or the Elegoo UNO R3 equivalent for less $$), and the USB cable (do NOT use a printer/scanner/etc cable even though it's the same shape). You can't do any major fun stuff unless you have those three things listed above; the kit does not include a cable for the power supply module.

Nice kit of electronic goodies -- some minor puzzles
I just unpacked the kit and must say that I'm completely satisfied so far. I haven't tested the individual components but they all look like the standard stuff. The breadboard is a standard 10x63 + pwr unit and Elegoo includes a little 3V3 + 5Vpower supply cobbler board (not tested yet). Note that there are absolutely no instructions sent with the kit but you can download PDF manuals that cover the individual components and contain experiments and demos. The Elegoo Web site is currently (12 Nov) under construction so it's kinda confusing but if you look at the contents of the various kits you can find one that has the info you want.I wanted info about the buzzer that has a seal on it that says "REMOVE SEAL AFTER WASHING." Elegoo doesn't mention it anywhere I could find but elsewhere on the wonderful Web I see that the seal should have been removed at the factory after the circuit board has been washed to remove solder flux. Go ahead and remove it, if you want, but note that it's only the label (and the base) that distinguish between the "active" and "passive" buzzers.

Great budget kit for Arduino Uno (And Much, Much More!)
I got this kit to go along with an Arduino Uno I received, hoping to build up my electronics skills. Before a few days ago, I had close to zero experience with any of the items included in this kit, but decided it was time to get into it. For only $20, this kit seems like an absolute steal! It comes with hundreds of items, and they all seem to be of reasonable quality. That said, I'm not sure I would be able to tell if it wasn't high quality other than the fact that something didn't work. In this case, everything I've used is working beautifully, and I am extremely satisfied with the purchase. If I had to complain about one thing, I would say that the plastic container is too small. Even though everything is shipped in the container, it is nearly impossible to squeeze everything back in once it is taken out. In fact, I don't even bother trying anymore, and I just leave the box open with a heaping pile of electronics inside.
