Avery UltraLast One Touch Slant Ring View Binders

Great binder for use with multiple classes
We use the SOAR binder system to help our son organize his class materials (high school). With this system the student carries a single 3-ring binder with index tab dividers for each subject. To make this work you need a binder that is thick enough without being unwieldy (we've found 1.5" to be just right) and also sturdy enough to withstand a fair amount of careless handling. This binder has worked out really well all around. It is flexible and lightweight but shows no signs of distress after nearly 4 months of school. The rings open and close smoothly and tightly. I'm really impressed -- we have tried plenty of other "durable" binders over the years that have broken down pretty quickly. This one is still going strong.

Great For All of My Recipes!
This is the perfect binder for all of the recipes that I print from online sites. It’s sturdy and seems durable. The rings always stay tight when locked. The rings open and close easily. I like that the binder is wide enough to use my Avery Extra Wide Index pages so that they don’t extend beyond the binder. It’s easy to add a decorative cover on the front as well as on the spine. I chose the red color to match the accents in my kitchen. I haven’t had this binder very long, so I can’t speak for longevity, but right now it’s really the perfect binder for my recipes.

I kind of hate them
I bought two of these and want to love them but they are a little unwieldy for a few reasons. 1. They are EXTREMELY slippery, you will not be grabbing those one handed. 2. The way the sides are attached to the spine makes the binder kind of twisty and not stable when holding or standing up on a shelf. 3. They are wider than any 3 ring I've seen. Maybe 1 of these annoyances I could deal with but all 3 have me looking for another solution which stinks because these things are pricey especially since I bought 2.

Hinge open/close feature breaks off easily!
I bought this binder for my 11yo son. We have had a hard time finding binders that last for every day use and being placed in heavy backpacks. On arrival it looked sturdy and I loved the one touch open/close hinge. However, this very hinge is also what didn’t last. We bought two of these binders and the end of the hinge has already broke off both binders. He isn’t rough with them, so I am not sure why they keep breaking but for the money, I expected it to last more than one month!

Feels Slippery and Flimsy
I purchased this binder because it's advertised as AVERY's "Best" but I was disappointed when I received the unit. The plastic on the cover is VERY slick, and the covers are flimsy. The quality of the plastic seems good, but the covers bend too easily. The "window" on the cover was simply printed; not a separate window frame of plastic. I already owned a AVERY Framed View binder from 2013, and it is far better than this unit. This unit was made in China. :(

Seems durable.
Needed something durable to use for organizing my monthly bills, the one I had was falling apart. It gets handled a lot and thrown here and there. This binder seems durable & I hope it lasts a long time.

Just garbage. And expensive garbage at that.
The outside finish is fragile and highly susceptible to scratches and damage. It's a view binder - so what it is that you would be viewing through that looks awful. I usually like Avery products, but this one is a loser.

It's. Extremely. Ugly.
Ordered one of these at the beginning of the school year with the hope that it would last the year and beyond. I even purchased another 4 pack because I was so excited to find these.if you do NOT CARE ABOUT HOW IT LOOKS... 5 stars hands down feels quality IMO and the pockets are amazing because they can hold I think up to 50ish sheets without the plastic stretching etc. like on the other binders which ends up ripping (I stuff a lot of sheets right into the pockets).IF YOU CARE ABOUT HOW IT LOOKS.. don't buy this. I couldn't walk out of the house with it. The front cover is just a square with a huge border... kind of like bezels on a screen.I ended up using the "heavy duty" which I love.
