The long screws make the lock 10 times securer
Everything works as it should be. Easy to install and fit into the place without issue. It comes with 2 long screws and 2 longer screws. If you do your research, those simply upgraded long screws make your lock 10 times securer.

my garage door frame is about 30yrs old, it was unpainted and faced all extreme weather, generally neglected. this was bigger and more substantial than the door plate you get with a big box store door handle. after reinforcing the old doorframe I used this door plate which anchored solid and i have a firm latching door now. it wont resist a crow bar or firm kick but no wood frame residential door is secureable from violent intrusion anyways. we worry about long screws, real thieves kick the bottom of the door or pry off the exterior trip and use a reciprocating saw around the outside of your door frame to cut the screws and neatly slide your door inside.
