Murk the Swamp Man: Series 6 Book 4 (Beast Quest 34)

I always have reading this book and it is really challenging story I have ever seen. So I want you to try this book and I hope you will enjoy this book.

Another great beast quest book, much enjoyed by my nine year old son who can't get enough of this series of stories.

My grandson absolutely adores these books and I am sure they have encouraged him to read far more than he would have done otherwise.

Fast and cheap

My boys loved this book, this book had one of the best fights of Beast Quest so far spread over the last 3 chapters. We do find if funny that Tom does all the work then the all powerful wizards appear to say thanks. Tom has already fought a beast made of the mountain in this book he faces one made of a swamp. We like that Tom used more of his fighting skill, and also his powers seem to be working again maybe it is because he has collected items from Kayonia or the time he has spent in the world so whatever was effecting his powers seems to have worn off.

This book is a potentially very scary instalment in the Beast Quest series. Tom and his good friend Elenna have been on several adventures by now and each time had to defeat more strange and cruel monsters.In this book not only is a swampy Beast awaiting them, but even the local people are hungry and angry. Their land has been overfarmed so now the soil is degraded and they can't grow food. Tom's closing of a gold mine run with slave labour, means the only source of income these people gained through trade has gone. They want something worth money, anything. We see a good contrast between the dried up land and the swamp where the huge Murk awaits.Boys will probably like this more than girls just because of the slimy swampy cover. This wouldn't be the best place to start the series but enough background is provided to read it even if you don't know the ongoing story.
