Cannot Press Thin Tortillas
This Press is fine if you like thick tortillas. It doesn't matter how soft your dough, you are going to get a thick tortilla. I use it for pressing out Pitas. I will start my tortillas with the press, but then have to roll them. I will be shopping for a better press.

Wobbly
The joint is just a bolt with a wing nut it's very wobbly. The papers that came with it are too big and fold and wrinkle if you don't cut them down. It does not press very well or evenly.Update: I tried a different recipe that used double the fat and the press and papers worked. It's still very wobbly and the press is uneven, but it worked. I updated the stars.

A good size and quality material
I got the10 inch press so I could make different size tortilla. This thing presses excellent tortillas. I've only made corn tortillas so I can't speak for the flour type. The parchment circles a quite large but work well at keeping the masa from sticking.I put an X on the side of the paper touching the masa so I can remember which side im using to help keep the press clean. I measure 3oz balls of masa press them between the parchment turn the paper 180 ° and press again. The cast iron is heavy and sturdy and i can't imagine it breaking unless one presses to hard.

Nice press
The press is sturdy! As it is cast iron, it’s also very heavy. It works well but I feel that the tortillas are left a little too thick for my taste.
