I concur with the other reviewer Jacob on several points. 1. The drive doors aren't bulletproof but if you are breaking them then you are doing it wrong. You must have no sense of manipulating mechanical things. Just take your time and don't force things. If something isn't closing or whatever, maybe you have the drive backwards. 2. The fan is definitely GARBAGE. I've had this installed and running for about a year and a half. I remember when I first installed it, thinking "I should replace this cheap fan with a Noctua". Unfortunately, I was too eager to get it running and now a year and a half later, I have a dead fan which I discovered when I was investigating a dead hard drive. Lesson learned. One note about the fan, it's 80mm, but it's only 20mm deep, so if you replace it, you'll probably have to figure out how to get a normal 25mm deep fan mounted where the old fan/shroud was. It's not that hard, and I ended up sealing the fan to the back of the unit using some strips of tape. It's not going to win any beauty pageants but it keeps the drives cool. Also, because the original fan was plugged into the drive enclosure and not the motherboard, I had no feedback that it had died. New fan is PWM, plugged into the mobo and monitored via IPMI.
