Made in the USA since 1988, it’s the trusted choice for athletes and professionals seeking serious hand strength development with unmatched durability and craftsmanship. ## Description If you don’t have any grip training equipment, chances are your hand strength is less than it should be, and if your grip training equipment looks like a toy that could have come in a box of cereal, the same thing is true. Captains of Crush (CoC) grippers changed the world by taking what had been a cheap, imported plaything and turning it into a beautifully crafted training tool for serious strength athletes. Made in the USA and known worldwide, nothing else puts power in the palm of your hand like a Captains of Crush gripper. Whether hitting, pitching or throwing, increased wrist and grip strength are key to playing better baseball. A strong grip is essential to golf. Pros tend to have greater maximum grip strength than amateurs and—somewhat paradoxically—stronger hands allow you to have a more relaxed grip while maintaining head control and consistent body mechanics. Your thumb is important in shooting, but when it comes to controlling a handgun, it’s secondary to your other four fingers, so your focus is on what’s called crushing grip (think shaking hands and squeezing). Captains of Crush grippers are your first choice for increasing your crushing grip and they will be the cornerstone of your training. Hand strength is key for obstacle course racers (OCR) and climbers, and most of the grip-related challenges you will face will depend upon the strength and endurance of your crushing grip. Captains of Crush grippers are the fastest route to a stronger crushing grip. IronMind developed the Captains of Crush (CoC) Silver Bullet Hold as both a training tool and as an event for grip strength contests: visually appealing and intuitively obvious, the CoC Silver Bullet Hold has been featured in grip contests from California to Russia, with stops in Finland, England, Ukraine... Whether you think your hand is too big, too small or just right for a gripper, the Silver Bullet is perfect. Hold on as long as you can. ## Features - Premium Grip Training Tool: The gold standard of grippers, this is the single best tool for increasing grip/hand strength - Top-Quality Construction: Features proprietary spring technology with knurled aircraft grade billet aluminum handles - Legendary Build Quality: Durable, precise and gorgeous - Progressive Resistance Levels: Available in 11 different strengths, providing a custom fit from rank beginner to World's Strongest Man - American Craftsmanship: Made in the USA by IronMind, the trusted leader in grip strength equipment since 1988 - Versatile Training Applications: Suitable for grip strength specialists, competitive athletes, fitness enthusiasts, rock climbers, martial artists, special forces, hand gun shooters and anyone looking to improve hand and grip strength - Professional Grade Equipment: Transforms grip training from basic exercise into serious strength development with precision-engineered, progressive resistance - backed by the top training support and customer service in the industry ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Asin | B00268EW9Y | | Best Sellers Rank | #1,654 in Sports & Outdoors (See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors) #8 in Strength Training Grip Strengtheners | | Brand Name | IronMind | | Color | Silver | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars (103) 4.6 out of 5 stars | | Item Highlight | The Gold Standard of Grippers, Made in the USA | | Item Shape | V Shape | | Item Weight | 15.6 g | | Manufacturer | IronMind | | Material | Aluminum | | Model Number | 1253.5-I | | Number Of Items | 1 | | Part Number | 1253.5-I | | Style | Hand Gripper | | Tension Supported | Heavy | | Upc | 792382309559 045445392914 | ## Product Details - **Brand:** IronMind - **Color:** Silver - **Item Weight:** 15.6 g - **Material:** Aluminum - **Style:** Hand Gripper ## Images ![Captains of Crush Gripper - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71xasbyrrSL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: I am looking to increase my grip, as my grip fails at 225 on deadlifts? Shoukd I start with trainer or #1?** A: Dear Darren:We recommend that you start with the Captains of Crush Trainer. When you can close it for 10-12 full, legitimate reps, you can start to work on the Captains of Crush No. 1 as well. Thank you for your interest in IronMind equipment and best of luck with your training! **Q: Does ordering from Ironmind on Amazon include the coc setting card?** A: Dear Sir/Madam: Many thanks for your inquiry. The Captains of Crush ID card is not included with Amazon CoC gripper purchases. If you would like an ID card after purchasing a CoC gripper on Amazon, kindly send us an e-mail with your mailing address and a copy of your Amazon order and we will be happy to provide a complimentary CoC ID card. Thank you again; we appreciate your interest in IronMind equipment! Sincerely, Judy Mariuz **Q: I have Walmart medium strength grippers. I do them ok I want to move up but not so much that I can't do themWhat Strength COC gripper would suit me?** A: I have those walmart ones and they are easy. If you can do a set of 12 it is time to order the CoC "Guide". I would say they are a little tougher than the walmart ones. I read the walmart ones are 50lb and the CoC Guide is 60lbs so that seems right. Great quality. Or get to where you can do 3 sets of 20 with what you have and get the 80's. **Q: Best no to start with** A: For an adult, normally if a person is ready for serious grip strength training but has not specifically trained with even a plastic-handled sporting goods store hand gripper or done any crushing work, we recommend that they start with the No. 1250 Captains of Crush Trainer gripper, or a No. 1402 CoC Sport gripper. If you have been working with sporting goods store grippers and have worked up into high reps, or if you use your hands daily in a stressful physical task, like construction work, then we recommend starting with the No. 1251 Captains of Crush No. 1 gripper. Please let us know if you have any further questions! ## Frequently Bought Together - IronMind Captains of Crush (COC) Hand Gripper - The Gold Standard of Grippers | The World's Leading Hand Strengthener - IronMind Expand-Your-Hand Bands 10 Pack: Kiss Elbow Pains Goodbye - Prevent, Rehab, Reduce Pain from Tennis Elbow, Carpal Tunnel.
