Make Lasagna Easy
I used this recently to make lasagna. It was a good size, shape, sturdy, easy to use and value. My chicken lasagna came out beautifully and definitely beat the store bought frozen lasagna in several areas. Will buy again.

Good & Versatile Noodles
These noodles are very good but I purchased them to use them in perhaps a different way- in a ragout, I broke them in thirds then made a sauce with quite a bit of liquid, after that came together and was boiling then placed in the noodles in a large pot and continuously stirred the noodles until they were al dente and done - sauce was simply sauteed garlic, sliced onions, pepper flakes and tomato paste and then chopped up two medium tomatoes and added water - you may have to add a little more water but the water needs to cover the noodles and time it so noodles are done and sauce is about right - takes a little practice - if you use store bought sauce just add some water to it

Lazy Lasagna
My go to for lazy lasagna nights. This makes it so much easier to throw together and tastes the same.

No pre-cooking
I was a bit Leary at first of a no boil lasagna pasta but I actually like the texture of the cooked product better than other boxed noodles. The trick is to use just enough wet ingredients to get even cooking without hard or crispy edges. It layers beautifully and you get that even height. I prefer the sheet look over the curly lasagna. I now buy this on a regular basis.

Honesty time— Don’t be Lazy!
If you love to cook— stick with Barilla’s original boiling style lasagne! I really wanted to love these, because the thought of being able to offer lasagne to my family more often is a PHENOMENAL idea. I mean lasagne is one of those meals that stands out as not only tasty comfort food, but you get extra points for spending so much time in the kitchen putting it together. The problem is, you only get those brownie points if the taste and presentation come out great. The no-bake noodle option just doesn’t do that. I’ve tried them multiple times and followed directions, as well as attempting to try things that might compensate for their less than perfect result, but it’s never as good as the boiled noodles version. First, the rippled edge of boiled noodles, really adds something to the appearance, but also the texture holds up better as you cut into the lasagne. Secondly— the texture of the no-boil is thin and its “mushy”, it just doesn’t hold up when you bite into it. I’ve tried less liquid in my sauce, and even using a second stacked layer of noodles, but neither made it hold up like the boiled noodles. At the end of the day, you want your lasagne to come out of the pan looking like a beautiful wall of layered meat sauce, cheese and noodles… not just a bowl of “mashed potato consistency Ragu”. If you really don't have the time to make traditional lasagne, opt for using a jar sauce and pre-shredded cheese— but don’t waste your money on “no-boil” lasagne noodles. As a 61yr old mom, who has been in plenty of Italian grandmother’s kitchens in my lifetime— I’m gonna tell you honestly: “Just Don’t Do It! “
