Direct Replacement, but not the same standard
KNOW WHAT YOU'RE BUYING BEFORE YOU ORDERI bought this as a replacement for my new Samsung RF34H9950S4. I went to Lowes and found out the direct replacement filter costs roughly $50.Searching Amazon, I came across these at quite a reduce price. I read some of the reviews mostly positive so I bought.Shipping and delivery was as expected from Amazon and arrived in two days. Changing out the old wasn't a problem, no leak, done in 10 minutes tops.Unfortunately, I didn't do enough homework before hand. As I soon discovered, these filters don't filter to the same standard as the OEM. Yes they are a replacement and fit properly, but these filters are NSF42 while to original is NSF 53. There's quite a bit of difference in the effectiveness between the two. NSF42 is pretty much only for looks and taste while NSF53 actually removed 99%+ of a lot of bad things.Had I known at the time, I would not have purchased. I'm looking for a filter that is as good if not better than the original to filter out the bad stuff.Now I have 3 new used filters that I need to decide to use or not when it comes time to replace again in a few months.That said, it is the first description for the product on Amazon so it is disclosed right up front.Would not buy again, will look for NSF53 next time.

Great fit, Good Price! But do your research.....
Purchased this filter because I didn't want to pay $49 for one filter. This filter fits perfectly. Thought all filters had to be the same as long as they fit and didn't leak. Not so! This filter is only rated NSF 42 which filters mainly for taste and odor (chlorine, chloramines, etc.). If you want a filter that provides more health benefits (by getting rid of more chemicals, heavy metals, nitrates, etc.), then go for a filter with a NSF 53 rating. The product is as described, but do your research and understand what you are purchasing. I did my research a little too late.

Good cheap filters.
These filters work fine. No leaks and they use activated charcoal to pull out the chlorine taste from water and maybe a few other irrelevant things.And thats good enough for me. Where I live in south FL there is nothing wrong with the city water. Filtered water from the fridge is more of a Novelty for me and my family as we don't care as long as it's cold.

Clean tasting water, better flow
Living in Florida I'm accustomed to chlorine taste in tap water. These filters provide clean tasting water.The length was a little shorter initially leaving me a concerned, but it fit fine and the water tastes great. I have also noticed better pressure than my previous filters... my refrigerator turns off the water flow when filling a larger container after a certain amount of time. That time now gets more water in the same time.

Installed very easily and no leaking at all
Arrived promptly and exactly as described.Installed very easily and no leaking at all. So far so good, at this point, I have only installed 1 filter so far. But, I am extremely pleased with the quality and especially the price. Water tastes the same no noticeable difference at all between this and original. This is a value compared to replacing the original with another Samsung. Feeling good about this.

Was of course a little hesitant getting a non brand filter, but so far so good. We've been using the filter for 2 weeks now. No leaks and water tastes great! I am very pleased with my purchase and will definitely get these again.
