The Coat Handler Deshedding Dog Shampoo for Shedding, Undercoat, 1 Gallon

This shampoo has been fantastic for our dogs. We have six German Shepherds, so managing shedding is basically a full-time job, and this product genuinely helps loosen and remove a ton of undercoat hair during baths. Every time we use it, you can immediately tell it’s helping the dead hair release from the coat, which makes a huge difference afterward around the house. I just need to stay more consistent with using it regularly to really keep the shedding under control. The coconut scent is also surprisingly nice. It smells clean and fresh without being overpowering or too strong like some dog shampoos can be. It lathers very well too — I even pour it directly onto the dogs to really work it into the coat, and it spreads nicely. Highly recommend this product, especially for owners of heavy shedding breeds like German Shepherds. Huge plus for multi-dog households.

This Coat Handler shampoo works really well for reducing shedding and keeping my pet’s coat soft and clean. It lathers nicely and rinses out easily without leaving any residue. After a few uses, I noticed less loose hair around the house and a shinier, healthier-looking coat. It also has a pleasant, light scent that isn’t overpowering. I purchased this shampoo as I currently have two golden retrievers, one of which is extremely hairy. I had tried several different shampoos including the Furminator one. I am only giving it 4 stars because I cannot leave this on either of my dogs for the length of time that would be most beneficial. They just won't stay still that long. I was expecting hair to come off in the wash as it does with the Furminator Shampoo, but because mine won't sit still for 5-10 minutes, I basically have to wet, soap, and rinse right away. Once dry and I can brush them, a lot of hair does come off. I have only tried the shampoo alone as they do not like a bath. I'm sure with shampoo and conditioner it might be great. They do have very soft, shiny and fluffy coats with a nice fragrance. I found the other shampoo to leave them less soft. I would purchase it again. A little bit diluted goes a long way. I feel confident that if you have a dog that will stay still more than 5 minutes to let the product work, more hair will come off. Regardless, I still have to brush the hairiest of my two several times a week with a good brush to keep the shedding down.

Great product. Good for deshedding dogs with sensitive skin

I have two dogs that shed terribly, plus a cat. I usually have to vaccum multiple times a week to manage the tumbleweed like clumps of hair blowing around my house. If i cant do that then i vacuum once a week and need to empty the cup multiple times and remove hair from the rolling brush before and after cleaning. This shampoo (in combination with the conditioner) has significantly reduced the amount of hair my dogs are shedding. I just used it this past week and the hair was sliding off in clumps by itself just by massaging the fur. It was so easy to deshed my dogs that even just rinsing them with the hose was washing off clumps of fur. I followed the instructions and diluted it so I could get more washes, but ive read you dont have to. I do a condition plus brushing, rinse, and condition again method. This soap is great, and so far it has not irritated my dogs either. You definitely get the value for your money when you dilute it and it has made my house less furry. If you have heavy shedding dogs, definitely buy this!!!

I added a little bit of the soap to a 32oz bottle then filled it up with water and gently swirled it so the soap would mix together. As soon as my Great Pyrenees was covered it started to work. I had so much of his hair on my hands. It smells great. After his bath, I was using the blower and so much hair was flying off. I did blow his hair before to get any out that I could. After brushing and blowing his hair, he looked so sleek and pretty. I sprayed him with a spray conditioner for dogs coats. 2 weeks later, my husband has stated he has noticed significantly less hair in the house. Our pyr needs a bath and blown out again because he gets anxiety from it and can only handle so much before he gets an attitude, but I’m sure after his next we will have next to no hair in the house! His hair is still soft and clean. So happy I bought this! I will be buying the conditioner when we can afford it.

Love, love, love the smell, and my dogs were very soft afterwards! However my intent was to purchase something that would help with shedding/undercoat. It did help a little bit, however Fur-minator is a much better product for shedding. I purchased the coat handler because it was cheaper to buy in bulk than Fur-minator. As a regular shampoo though, I would recommend for its scent and the way the coat feels afterwards

Arrived with lid loose and seal open Unsure if genuine as no smell and my show cockers coat is now very dull . It’s usually very shiny and vibrant .

This is excellent shampoo. I’ve used it in my shop since the day I opened in January 2024. 32: 1 mixing ratio. It lathers nicely, and leaves the coat soft and shiny, and has a light coconut scent. Good price too, compared to other brands

Smells nice, easy to mix and use. Does help with removing loose hair when used with a deshedding brush.
