A great book for anyone who wants this country’s races to come together in community. A faithful erudite collection of biblical interpretation by a brave, non-violent man that did all in his short life that he could to bring us together as Christ intended. His words are still a powerful call for loving your neighbor as we are all called to do.

This book is largely a reprinting of the 1963 book of sermons, "Strength to Love," which gives important insights into the pastoral concerns of Martin Luther King, Jr. Unfortunately, the editors deleted a sermon on King's critique of Communism and Capitalism, which is still relevant in the early 21st century. But this important sermon is made available online. These sermons give a closer feel of King the pastor and shepherd of a local congregation, and perhaps give us a deeper feel for King's inner thinking, complementing public persona of his speeches and writings directed toward a national audience.

A wonderful thought-provoking book full of Reverend King's insight and wisdom. Read slowly and carefully and discuss with your family and friends.

Dr.Martin Luther King, Jr. was an amazing man. His writings have the power to move and motivate you in such a way that you come away changed. He had a heart for all people and was concerned about the disadvantaged regardless of race or ethnicity. He was a gifted writer and speaker. This book is inspiring and I gave a copy to a friend of mine for Christmas last year and he was blown away. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to hear Dr. King's heart and be touched deeply in your spirit.

I have read this book twice now. I admire Dr. King. The sermons were so good that I read one per day and then took the time to ponder it. I used the book like a daily devotional. Each sermon is very well written. I am so impressed with Dr. King's understanding of history and man's faults and the teachings of the Bible. You can feel his heart and soul as you read his words. I highly recommend this book.
