My 14 yr old dog tore his ACL and he is not a candidate for surgery so we are looking at ways to help him. We bought these and they definitely give him support. They are easy to put on, but we are finding they are painful for him when we take them off. The velcro is a little too good! It hurts him when we try to undo it.After reading the reviews there were 2 good hints I used. Firstly I purchased both the S and XS to see which one was the best fit and kept the S while returning the XS. Secondly I cut the velcro ends making them rounded so the square ends wouldn't stick into my boy when he sat down. I'm going to sit and pull apart the velcro a bit to see if I can soften it so it is easier to undo so my boy isn't hurt when we take them off. Even with that problem I think these were a good buy once we soften the velcro. They give my old dog support on his torn ACL and his luxating patella on the other side and keep him walking.

They did help my 11 y.o. Yorkie who hurt one of her hind legs while go going up the stairs.I gave it 4 stars because unfortunately the Velcro and fabric seem to have lost some of their grip. She has worn them constantlyduring the day for 5 weeks now and she probably won't be needing them at all soon.

this is great! I got the medium for my 30lb 9 year old overweight shiba. She hates it. Shes been limping and carrying her hind paw for a couple months now, vets are telling me its arthritis (debatable). Anyways , i put it on her and she immediately stuck her leg way up to the sky and walked around like that at first- i promise you its hilarious. then afterwards, attempted to bite it off - also funny. Took awhile, but she no longer tries to bite it off. when she starts limping around i'll put it on her, and she can walk 'normally' again and put weight on her foot. I definitely recommend, the dog probly doesn't tho.

I ordered the small hock brace. It arrived quickly and was exactly what was described. It fits well and the dog does not seem to mind it being on his leg. I only need one, but if you turn the other up side down it fits the opposite leg, so then you have two for the same leg. Easy to wash.
