Titan 16039 13-Piece Tamper Resistant Impact Grade Star Bit Set

I should first mention that i spent way more time researching these than I ever expected that I would. It turns out that finding a set with this quantity of bits and with range in size of the bits isn't as easy as I would expect it to be. There are LOTS of bit sets on the market but not many in this quantity and range of sizes. That said, this one seemed to be the best of those I found and so I bought the Star Bit set, the SAS Hex set and the Metric set.As tools go, these are pretty well made. They definitely aren't rust-proof, but they also look well made enough that I don't expect they'll rust very easily either. In terms of endurance, they've held up very well so far and I fully expect that they'll last me for years and years to come.The only complaint I would make is on the case itself. The colored portion of the bit holder is a sticker of sorts, which is fine, but it also wasn't put on very well and I'm not sure that it will survive the life of the tools themselves. I thought about pulling a star from my review for it but it's not quite bad enough for that. I would have given 4.5 stars if that was an option.

I'm copying the review as I purchased sae, metric & torx set. Bits are great, I use them in a cordless impact (56v) and they've outlasted some kobalt impact bits I had which is impressive. The holder is slim and friendly on real estate in either a box or bag. Bits snap in and seem to also be held magnetically which is convenient. Not sure if they're supposed to be labeled, if they are its not obvious on my sets. I engraved mine incase they get dropped/mixed. Recommended

A friend had a set. I managed to lose a few of them, falling out of my non magnetic holder. So, I bought a set for the both of us. The product fit perfect...completed the job. Correct tool for the job.

I've been waiting a long time to find a good set of tamper proof security bits that can stand up to more than light use, these are those very bits. These are nicely made, and should last me a while.

Dozens of T27 bolts. Titan T27 bit is to big yet the T25 bit is to small. Expect cam-out and ruin of the bolt head.Investigation:Compared Titan T27 to alternative brand bit revealed a significant difference in size. Although marked "T27" it is, in fact, a T30.Applying the smaller T25 can ruin the T27 bolt head.Common occurrence:The smaller T25 will fit into the T27 bolt head but will cam out and ruin the bolt head. This Titan's bit T27 is to large and the T25 is to small. Meeting high torque specs will ruin the bolt head, no doubt. Many suspect the bolt head when actually the Titan bit causes the problem. My Titan bit is mislabeled. Go get the drill. Donate your Titan bits to an adversary.Thank Me LaterPow

I got these for bicycle repairs with a torque wrench. So it won't be used for what it's spec'd for. Great for what I'm using it for. S2 steel should be good for my purpose. I like that I can use with a torque driver or a torque wrench.
