Good Quality
I know this is a fillet knife, and I understand that it is primarily designed for fishing and the likes. But I am a big steak eater and whenever I go to a steak house they usually give me the typical steak knife with the serrated edge. I teke this with me when ever I go for a steak and ust love the way it cuts. I know I my be a little off in the hear but it makes my trip to the restaurants that much more enjoyable. LOL

BIG knife
I'll start by admitting that I am a big Kershaw fan so maybe I'm biased. The knife is sharp, easy to hold and well made but it is BIG. I'm usually a good judge of sizing but not this time. I'm not complaining but it could be several inches smaller and still get the job done. If I had seen this in a store I would have passed on it but just because I'd prefer a smaller tool. That said, it gets the job done and I use it regularly.

Its a blade that you can carry because it folds up like a regualar knife, but most if not all, are non-foldable filleting knives
This knife has a nice waterproof handle and of coarse its made by Kershaw, so its one of the best ones you can purchase because they stand behind what they make. I had a knife right out of the package that I dropped directly on the tip and it snapped/ broke off when it hit the concrete surface. It was my fault because I am clumsy and they replaced it for free. I told them what happened and shipped it to them and they fixed/replaced it, Just like new! So I have become a Kershaw guy I guess, good quality and great service, cant ask for anything more.

convenient for use at the lake
Overall I like this knife however the blade is a little thicker than I like to use when filleting my fish. I use it when I am away from home but go back to my regular knives when not at the lake.

great for the backpacker, boon docker or fisherperson this is useful
now a filet knife can easily be carried; a filet knife in a compact fashion that folds to full size when open. High grade SS blade with a HD handle that the blade folds into.

very functional knife
It arrived sharp and it is easy to maintain the edge. Very handy to use - well balanced. Folding knife is much easier to store and carry than a fixed blade.

Great quality for the price.
Husband uses a fillet knife almost daily. He wanted to know how this folding one would hold up against his high dollar fillet knife. He was impressed. He used it to skin out a deer and it delivered as promised. It is now is go to knife. Will be great when he goes fishing on the kayak.

WILL RUST! LOCKBACK BROKE AFTER A FEW USES!
I used this fillet knife for two fishing trips. Rust has already started to appear even though the knife was cleaned frequently. The lockback function broke and now the blade just swings freely. I don't know what caused it to break because I've barely used this knife... The edge is decent, sharper than the Buck fillet knife I also use, but the Buck knife has been through a lot more and is still usable (also starting to rust).
