The hat is awesome. Just bought a new one. Has a built in sweat band. Love this hat

This will fit well if your head is the shape of a Lego person, ie your head is a rounded cylinder. If you have a normal shaped head, there will be an awkward tent if of emptiness. That's okay though, the front of the hat is awesome enough to overcome for any of these fitment issues.

Quite a bit bigger than expected but it was for a halloween costume and I think this style of hat was a bit bigger in the 80s than we are used to now.
