Sliding Zoom Ball for Children, Family Zoom Sliding Ball (One)

I work in a sub-acute rehab facility for ages 18-100+. We are always looking for items that our patients will have fun doing while in therapy. The Playscene Sliding Zoom Ball is a favorite tool/toy that both the occupational therapists and physical therapists love using. More importantly, our patients enjoy using this product as well--without feeling like we are making them "play with toys". The zoom ball has great therapeutic uses--from working on core strength while sitting on a ball or edge of mat, to working on upper body strength and coordination, to even working on balance while standing on the floor or on uneven surfaces. The bright colors of the balls make it easy for our patients to see. It takes very little strength or movement to "zoom" the ball from one side to the other. The only con we have found is that the cords EASILY get tangled--we still have not found a great way to store it in order to prevent this from happening. Overall though, I can't say enough great things about the Playscene Sliding Zoom Ball! I definitely recommend this for therapy clinics--for adults and pediatrics!

It is a very useful toy for somebody recovering from a stroke!

This item is competitively priced first of all. This item came quickly and packaged well. I bought this for the special education classroom I work in. But, this would be great for any classroom or just for kids at home. We used it at school the other day and the boy I was using it with loved it! We could only use it for about 5 minutes because his arms got tired. So, if you are buying this to build core strength, upper body strength and control and coordination, this is a great buy. It is fun and if you do it five minutes every day to start out, I believe you will see the time increase. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because the strings pulled out of the handles at first. I was able to fix it, but it was annoying. The nylon strings go through a little hole in the plastic handles. Then they are knotted so as to NOT come out. But, when practicing this at home they did slip out! So, I unknotted each string, reinstated it through the hole, DOUBLE knotted the strings and then used a glue to keep the knots together. Because they are nylon, I was afraid the knots would loosen. Now it works fine. I would still definitely suggest this item, but before you use it, double knot each string and glue so the knots don't come undone. Then go have fun with it!

Just the same as I remember from my childhood. Kids enjoy full of fun!

It’s cheap and plastic and did not entertain my child the way I had hoped. I’m not sure I understand all the hype in the reviews I read before buying.

As a former physical education teacher, I used zoom balls as an upper body exerciser and game to help develop spatial relations and timing. The kids loved them! The ones we had in school had enough cord that kids could be about 15 feet apart. This one has only 6 feet of distance between players. This does not give them enough time to get ready to return ball and also makes it hard to "shoot" the ball. I sent these to my grandkids to use during the current quarantine and they are disappointed that the new toy does not work well. We are going to try to make a homemade version out of soda bottles and heavy duty string.

we bought this product for my special needs son who played with one with the OT that he has and he LOVED it! so i had to go looking for one to buying him and here it is! he LOVES his new toy that also works at him strengthening his upper body and his coordination. he LOVES his bright red "ball" and he has enjoyed playing with it....it is well made and has plenty of length so i can shorten it to fit my son's current ability. GREAT TOY!
