the performance is dismal compared to anything recent by Nvidia and the second GPU isn't easily utilized for many applications
I bought this card because of an older game that frequently causes TDRs on Nvidia cards(Final Fantasy XI). This being the current top of the line Radeon GPU, I was hoping I could use it for FFXI as well as newer games. Unfortunately, the performance is dismal compared to anything recent by Nvidia and the second GPU isn't easily utilized for many applications. As all 4 monitor ports are exclusively mapped to the first GPU, you cannot put any load on the second GPU unless crossfire supports the work in question or you have an application that allows you to choose a GPU to direct work to. This also means that if you have a need to seperate monitor rendering between cards, it's impossible to accomplish this. Everything goes through the first GPU and unless an application is specifically addressing the second or crossfire supports it, it will just be sitting at 0% CPU and still drawing power. For my circumstances, that makes it a really expensive Fury X.Admittedly, this is an unusual circumstance for many, and these problems may not effect you. Unfortunately, as the card benchmarks 40% below a (cheaper) 1080Ti, there's little redemption for it. Unless you specifically need the manufacturer or drivers for some reason, as I did, save your money.

*updated 5/17/16* The gpu was an upgrade from crossfire msi r9 270x ...
***UPDATE ON THIS REVIEW**ALL the negative feedback about using on GPUs to run the games was fixed with the new driver update. Now I can play all of my games with both GPUs and many issues that have happened before are gone.Playing shadows of mordor (ultrs maxed out) and gtav in 4k with good frame rate.%%%If you buy this card, every game will vary on how well it runs depending if super resolution mode is on or off (crimson setting). Also, all these reviews you may have read already online were before the driver update. This card performs way better after update.Deffinetly better than a single fury nano.****UPDATE ON REVIEW ABOVE***FIRST REVIEWThe gpu was an upgrade from crossfire msi r9 270x gaming 4gb.Card runs excellent. Able to play games in 4k with great fps. Also used it on vlc player with accelerators, sharpening setting and placed video to gpu ram. Works like a charm.Only thing I did not like was that the card runs better with crossfire off. Running most games on the single gpu gave a better experience and didn't have the crossfire. Issues even with a crossfire profile for dual gpu use was buggy and single gpu ran just fine.Getting a fury nano may have been the better choice.

"The 3rd generation GCN architecture featuring asynchronous shaders enables the latest DirectX™ 12 and Vulkan™ titles to deliver
I would give one star if I could. AMD's website claims: "The 3rd generation GCN architecture featuring asynchronous shaders enables the latest DirectX™ 12 and Vulkan™ titles to deliver amazing 4K and VR gaming experiences."I wish this was the case. Even lowering the settings to 1080 instead of 4k, my SEVEN YEAR OLD graphics card performed better. It wasn't even top of the line when I bought it.You might be wondering "Did he have a large enough power supply?"The answer is a definite yes, a 1500W supply in fact."Maybe it was the CPU?"Not with a FX-9590."Perhaps he didn't have enough RAM?"I'd like to think 32 GB is enough. And to top it off, when I'd like to return the item for not matching the product description (when you spend $1.4k on a GPU that is supposed to deliver "amazing 4k" and it can't even keep the FPS a consistent value, I'd say it didn't match the description) I was told by XFX that the product was not incorrectly described, and I am not eligible for a full refund.

New Tech, Already Irrelevant and Outperformed.
When you see the $799 price tag and the "You save $700!" you might say "Holy Cow! That's an Amazing deal!!!". Unfortunately, it's not. This card is the FuryX x2, and if you didn't know, Nvidia's 980 Ti dominated it. This card will get destroyed by the 1080 Ti as it did by the 980 Ti. If you're looking for amazing, lasting performance, buy the Nvidia 1080 Ti for $699. It has 3GB more VRAM, a WAAAY higher Clock Speed (it's faster), a way better score on benchmarks, and more. This card is already outdated and irrelevant. If you are a hardcore Only AMD person, wait for the 5XX series from AMD to come out. Rumors say it will be just like the Ryzen when it comes to impressiveness.

Pro card requires Pro user
Reading the above reviews prompted me to write.I have had the card about a year. I play all games at 4K. I am at a 10% overclock. There is a learning curve with this card, it does EXTREMELY well in its area (full use of both GPUs and not going over RAM capacity for textures).Outside its area it falls flat on its face, hence the nVidia fan boys comments. There are few games where a 1080Ti will beat this card. The 1080Ti is a great card and newer technology. Many games are not configured well by ATI, but with a 4K FreeSync monitor this card is a great gamer, you just have to know what eye candy it can handle. If you want a plug and play gamer, pass this one. If you develop and are willing to work a little for superior gaming this may be your card.
