Silicone Kids Placemats, Non-Slip Placemats for Kids Baby Toddlers Table Mats, Children’s Dining Food Mats, 2Pack, Baby Blue/Green

I bought these hoping to keep the kids from scratching new kitchen table and they were great for about a week until my 2 year old stuck a fork through one. A few days later another one ripped just when picking it up off the table. Too thin and not durable for long term use. I threw all 4 out in less than three weeks. I would not recommend these for daily use.

We have one child with Down Syndrome, and bought this for him so that he would have something to learn to eat from with his hands (fine motor skills) so that he can pick things up (food, duplos, etc.) The pad worked great and was super-sticky to our table top (even with the table having a matte finish). After a week, it lost a little bit of grip, but you can refresh that by washing the bottom with light soap and water and letting it air dry (think of the wacky-wall-walkers from the cereal boxes of the 80's). It also became more "stretchy" over time, but still retains it's shape well. Best of all this was super easy to wipe down the top and clean off food particles (like mac & cheese, pizza, chips, and even fruit juice from grapes that were cut in half.) Overall I give this a 4+, leaning toward a 5. My only issue was the reduction in stickyness over time, because of the maintenance to restore it.

These placemats would be perfect if you're looking for whisper-thin, simple, BPA-Free protection for a child. They really cling and would be challenging for a young child to mess with and move. However, I was looking for BPA-Free mat for under my cat dishes. For this purpose, these were not the right fit. Not the fault of the placemats, just a different use. Not sure how to star them because this may not be a fair rating.

Love these place mats. Keeps everything from sliding around as our toddler is learning to eat by himself. Easy clean up, even if there might be a spill. Nice to carry in purse for eating away from home.

I really wished I had this when my kids were growing up, to keep their hands clean when we went out to eat! They looked like they would be easy to wipe off and I think easy maybe to roll up and put them in the diaper bag! I’m really not sure about the rolling part if not they should think about it! I also bought these for a baby shower.

Love that these protect my table and make it easier to clean up. Double bonus that these can go in the dishwasher. Only complaint is that they are very thin; when you grab it it folds like fabric.

These are very thin but stay put on the table. I use it to make a little space for my sons drink and sometimes a quick snack. I bought because I didn’t want his sippy cup making rings on my antique wood table and it’s been great!

Update: I was Sent a replacement set of mats and so far they have been wonderful! My kids aren’t easy on their placemats- they color/draw- eat- spill and these have been great!! They stick to the table well and have held up!!These aren’t bad, however- I was Trying to clean one- simply wiping it off with spray and a paper towel and it ripped- the center to one side just tore.
