How reliable is the quality if I’m recording a activity that requires light to medium movement ?

The quality is determined by the "steadying" selection on your phone. I have an android phone and I choose the "hand" within video which greatly minimizes movement. Look online for your phone setting. The product itself is very robust and I use it to take video when I mountain bike and the videos are great.
