PurTest DIY Lead Water Testing Kit

I wish it was just a pass or fail test, but they have different interpretations that account for pass, and you have to make the judgement whether the darkness of the line is lighter or brighter than the control --- and my wife and I both had to eyeball it and both thought the test was probably negative, but was unsure. my wife had to actually come to me and say, what do you think is the result? After I said what i think (again with some uncertainty), then we both agreed. With something as important as lead testing, it should be a clearer, more easily interpretable test.

The "true positive" samples do not register at all. The PurTest just does not give the control strip, and the true negatives are true negatives. Much cheaper and simpler dip tests do detect our "true positives" 100% of the time and roughly "quantitate" level of contamination.

Too expensive for one test only , should have at least 3 test rods for making sure the test was correct or for more tests . Since you offer 2 test rods for copper which we did not need . The money we paid actually was good for 3 test rods for lead .

Easy, worked well...puts your mind at ease (if your water isn't tainted with lead, that is!)
