Addendum: The seller, Sportique, did send me the bungy cord and seat for the kayak. They were easy to install and now all is good. We have been out in the kayak several times and really enjoy it. Our old boat did not have a rudder or skeg and I find that these do help a lot with control of the kayak - although it does take a little practice using the foot pegs to steer with. We are hoping to buy an extra mid section in the future so we can bring the dog along with us (or a niece or nephew)!!Love the kayak - not happy with the shipping and service from the seller (Sportique) at all!We ordered it on April 7th and it was originally to be delivered between April 14th and 19th. I was given notice that the shipper picked it up on April 12th and there was a supposed tracking ID for UShip, but I didn't get any further updates through the Amazon site. I tried to track it on UShip, but there was no way for me to do so with the tracking number I was given. Thus, I contacted Sportique and they gave me a different tracking number for YRC Freight - apparently Sportique ships LTL (less than load) and bids it out on UShip. I was told that they don't know who the carrier is until they show up at the dock and thus don't have tracking information initially. YRC Frieght was then very late getting the kayak delivered to us - it didn't arrive until April 27th. Upon arrival it was damaged - see the pictures attached. In addition to the boxes being beaten up, one of the deck bungies was cut and there appears to be some sort of glue/adhesive stuck on one of the seats which I fear means it will tear soon. Finally, looking at the shipping invoice it was sent to us from Liberty Mountain Sports in Pennsylvania, so I'm not sure who I purchased the kayak from and if Sportique is actually a seller or just a middleman? Now I am afraid nobody is going to take care of the damage issues.I did contact Sportique about repairs to the damaged bungy cord and seat on April 27th - the day of delivery. They immediately blamed the shipping company and said they "filed a claim," but I haven't heard anything back since then - 16 days. It appears they have forgotten me and are leaving me with damaged goods!!!My wife and I purchased this with great hope of finding a more performance oriented kayak that is easier to store and transport than our Old Town Dirigo tandem that we've been using for years. The Dirigo was heavy and difficult for the two of us to load on the truck and carry to the water, plus it took up a lot of space in the garage. I really do like the Point 65 mercury tandem - it is comfortable and handles well. We plan to take it with us traveling in an RV and believe that it will serve us well. Be aware though, the individual pieces are still a little bit large and cumbersome.
