Cities of Belgium – A Travel Guide of Art and History: A Comprehensive Guide to the Belgian Cathedrals, Churches and Art Galleries - Bruges, Ghent, Brussels, Antwerp

Nice book, but a bit limited in scope, it is not actually cities in Belgium, but "a few" cities in Belgium. Otherwise very nice.

We are currently living in Brussels and purchased this guide because we thought it would be useful to supplement the usual tourist guides. It seemed to be accurate for places in Brussels such as the Fine Art Museum however we recently made a trip to Ghent to see the altarpiece there and the description of visiting it and the cathedral where it’s located were way off base. It said that some of the panel originals are located in Berlin which has not been the case since WWI, that the original Adam and Eve panels were in the Museum of Fine Arts, also not true. All the panels are found in the cathedral now and you can even see the closed doors on the back of the display. The only non-original is a copy of one of the side panels that was stolen in the 1930s and never recovered. Because of the inaccuracies in this section I now wonder what else might be incorrect in this book.
