Zefal Spy Bicycle Mirror Black

I recently switched from drop bars to bullhorn bars. I love it! I always rode the front of my bars, and never had the leverage I wanted, and my thumbs were always smooshed against the brake handle. Bullhorn (or Pursuit) bars are 500% better for me. I stay tall in my bike; have great leverage; and don't have to move my hand position between pedalling hard, or breaking. The only thing I miss about my old dip bars is the mirror on the end of the bar. It's been impossible to find a mirror that either doesn't fit the end of a handlebar, or doesn't have an arm. I've never liked mirrors that extend away from the point of attachment. They always vibrate when I'm riding at any decent speed, which is exactly when I need them. This mirror fits my bullhorn bars, and is the most adequate I've found so far. I do wish it had a little more mirror surface area. I use mirrors because I commute in city traffic, and they help me stay aware of available space when I need to dodge a car door, a front bumper prarie-dogging out of a driveway or underground parking lot. If it was maybe 50% larger, this would be a 5 star review. I say that; but then I hate when I've had to replace handlebar mirrors I thought I'd love because I bump them with my knees. These are a size that make them functional and not in my way. The other change that would make this a 5 star review, would be a permanent mount. I don't like the rubber band that holds them in place. It makes then too easy to steal. I'm not willing to remove them every time I go into a building. I've used duct tape to make them less theft-friendly. It's fine. Consider these two issues half a star each. I really do like these mirrors. They sit at the same spot in my line of sight as the old mirrors (just a few inches higher). I feel much safer.

Nice small convex mirror, which you can install anywhere (some limitations). My bike grips do not have the end caps, and I don't want to have mirrors looking like antennas. This mirror meets my needs except quality of convex mirror (little bit distorted like the one in haunted house). You can see your rear clearly, but little wobbly. This might be due to its oval shape. Main objective is to see whether you are safe to maneuver, and this offers the rear view. Installation is easy with rubber strap, and adjustment is breeze (easy to adjust its postion for optimal view). Before using this, please make sure to remove protection film so that the view is less wobbly. Overall, great rear view mirror with a rubber strap. Safe Riding!!!

I agree with what most others are saying here. The mirror is a little small, but it gets the job done to notifying you of vehicles and other riders. I bought it because I wanted a lower profile mirror for riding with my recumbent Bacchetta Giro. There is a little distortion, but not bad. While there are obvious reasons and advantages for the shape, I wish it were a little less convex to make the images appear slightly closer to real size. The easy mounting and good adjustability make this a worthwhile purchase. I ended up getting two because of the size and I was a good choice.

so i have 5 bikes (one still being built b/c parts are hard to come by during a pandemic) and each but the new build has a cheap $6 mirror (that come in pairs). but those have the crappiest attachments so, when i saw the length of this very capable looking strap, that is truly what sold me. i knew others had commented on the size, but until it arrived, i had no reference to how small it actually was - despite reviewers having posted pics. as several mentioned, no matter how it is positioned, you could not see anything but your own body. i tried fork, frame (just no), as well as bars. if you use bar ends, then this could attach there and clear your torso. i will attest to the strap being the highlight of this thing. it went over 31.8 bars AND grip tape. that's a feat for sure. these mirror and accessory straps never seem to take bar tape into consideration. just make straps long enough. it also appeared to have no vibration while in use, albeit when viewing my leg or left arm and torso. but for as stealthy and tidy as it looks, if it can't show me when a car is approaching, it is of no use. i will say, the $20 price i paid was ridiculous as this does not have any better hardware or swivel action than the $6 mirrors. it's all plastic and i found the adjustability quite difficult. i think i believed the mechanism for adjustment would have to be higher quality at that price. these most likely cost $2.60 to manufacture. the $6 mirrors i have may vibrate and often get in the way of my hand position, but they show me a clear view of the road behind and to the side. sadly the ones i have are 'currently unavailable or i would have gone that route and save the $20+ fee and return hassle -- although really, Amazon makes returns mostly pain free if you're a Prime member.

I picked this mirror because of the small size and because the shape is more aerodynamic than most similar mirrors. I attached it to the drop bars and it provides great rear visibility when I am on the hoods. It is easy to attach and it stays put well. Like nearly all bicycle mirrors, you adjust it for your riding position. If you move around a lot, like bar tops, in the drops, or on tt bars, then you will change your angle on the mirror so much you will not be able to see behind you. I picked the position I am most likely to be riding when in traffic and I set the mirror to fit that position. It works great.

I bought this to replace one purchased over 10 years ago. The mirror isn't a real mirror, the image a bit distorted BUT it works fine for seeing what is behind you. This does not vibrate, as other mirrors I have tried did (the vibration makes the mirror useless). This mirror has NO vibration as you ride, so it works well to accomplish a couple of goals: keeping you safe so you can see behind you AND easy to install. I have 2 for each handle. The one I used for over 10 years was replaced because the "mirror" tarnished a bit. This is a good value for the money, it will last years!

I love this little mirror. I had a hard time deciding whether to get something that attached my bike or my helmet and ended up choosing this. It's not huge but I've placed it on my handlebars and now I can get a pretty good idea of what is behind me when I need to know. My only complaint is that it sometimes moves a tiny bit and I have to straighten it to where I want it to show me.

I recently just purchased a second one of these mirrors. I really like the versitility of mounting options for this product. I've had other mirrors (i.e the "Mirrycle" - also nice) that mounted on the end of my mountain bike handlebar. While these provide good visibility they are obtrusive in a bike rack and are easily damaged (I've broken two). This little mirror provides a good rearview, due to the convex surface, although smaller than the Mirrycle. I've also yet to break one of these - the mirror is plastic instead of glass (a flaw in the Mirrycle) and is pretty tough. I've got mine mounted underneath my handlebar. You can also mount them on the bike frame or front fork but I found the image a little too small to see well - but does work well to see oncoming lights behind you at night. It is easy to mount and remove if you want to play around with the location that works best for you. It also has a good range of motion in the direction of the mirror. Although you can't "lock" it in a position, it doesn't seem to move around while riding rough roads. All in all this is the best of several rearview mirrors that I've tried - recommended

I have to say when I opened my package and saw how small this mirror is I was disappointed and thought there was no way it'd be any use whatsoever. Even when I fitted it on the bike in the garage it didn't seem anywhere near big enough BUT then I went out for the first ride and was truly amazed at how good this is!! The shape of the mirror and the convex curve mean that when it's adjusted corectly it give me a view of everything from the dangling strap of my rucksack and the full width of the carriageway behind. The securing strap is excellent and I notice very little vibration even on my rigid fork hybrid. I guess because it is so small and light, it doesn't seem to go out of alignment even when bumping down kerbs or hitting the odd pothole either. I've tried at least six types of different bike mirrors in my time and this is by far the best I've ever used. I love the way I can easily swap it between bikes in a few seconds too, or remove it if I have to leave my bike locked up in public.

Versand erfolgte innerhalb von einer Woche. Leider war keine Montageanleitung zur Befestigung des Haltegummis, dabei. Nach einigem probieren habe ich es trotdem hinbekommen. Der kleine Rückspiegel erfüllt seinen Zweck optimal. Das ich bei meinen unterschiedlichen Haltepunkte am Lenkerhorn zeitweilig an den Spiegel komme und ihn verstelle, kann ich nicht dem Rückspiegel zuschreiben. Der Spiegel sitz perfekt, lässt sich gut einstellen. Die Sicht nach hinten ist ausreichend und verfälscht die Räumlichkeit wenig. Ideal wäre, wenn der Spiegel ein wenig größer ausgelegt wäre, dann wäre die Straße breitflächiger sichtbar. Alles in allem ein tolles Teil, dass seine Aufgabe hervorragend erfüllt. War auf alle Fälle kein Fehlkauf.

Small mirror but that's what I wanted for my road bike. It jiggles on bumps when I'm riding on rough country roads and needs to be adjusted so a small inconvenience but considering the price, overall I'm happy. I didn't want to spend a lot of money. It doesn't jiggle on smooth roads. Meets my needs.
